Interesting video of a 21 year old that discusses the mega doses of AAS and other drugs he used to win the NPC Contra Costa. The kid is so short of breath, it's uncomfortable to watch.

Kid is putting himself out there. It's not like he's your average gym rat. Cops see this shit are gonna wonder where all this gear is kept that he's whacking. I wouldn't be surprised that Palumbo doesn't know he made this video. Kids a fucking idiot.

You're right. The publicity could hurt him in ways other than legal trouble too. I don't see what he thought he could gain by posting this. Young and dumb, I guess.

The guy is seriously jacked for his age. Shame he used synthol. I mean gear is one thing, but with synthol you don't know how much of the physique is "real".

Do you think he still has synthol in him in that video?

Yes. He looks pretty lean, but his arms don't have much of any definition.

looked him up on yahoo he has a ton of videos even detail ones on how to use synthol. I guess he may be helping people out with info but goodness it seems like he is putting his self and his trainers at so much unwated risk and tossing them in the spot light. Guess at 21 maybe he's not thinking about everything that goes along with it.

This right here, is why I quit competing. Its all about the drugs now, at 21 yrs old throwing that much crap into your body is just stupid. And yes, he is still using syntherol, you have to stay on that stuff to get any measurements, and its just swelling at that. None of the gains on synthol are real, if anything your muscles get smaller because they have no room to absorb nutrients and blood flow. Nothing on synthol is permanent, NOTHING!!! Dont buy into that fascia stretching bullshit for a second, its bullshit!!! He has huge size, especially for his age, but in a few more years he is going to look like shit unless he slows it down and gets smart. And GH should be started around 20 wks out and dropped a month out from the show since it holds water

IMO, he has some very serious psychological issues. Add to that, the use of synthol will cause physical health problems. C'mon, synthol!!! This guy is a fool.

If this is what it takes to be a pro bodybuilder now, I have to say I'm actually happy I didn't have the genetics to even try.

Cycling peds, even staying on for extended periods is one thing, but doing that amount of gear is just pants on head retarded.

It's more like a chemistry experiment then bodybuilding. And people wonder why most don't take bodybuilding seriously.

Personally I'm glad he has these videos to be honest it refreshing to see the real deal and not some workout routine in a magazine. These magazines and all these pros try to peddle bullshiiit straight up, so its nice hes putting them in check, and his posted contest poses still look good great.. I think hes is very clear about lots of things and you are not giving him credit for being honest and helping people out. I have never stepped on stage and never will but seeing how much is involved is a ridiculous full time job.. But for such a young age he had the frame for it but in one year hes blown guys away training for 10... I will have to side with him and I'm digging hes videos. I want a freaking bulking video lol... I like his 12 week to contest video was there a drug he didnt take?... hahaha
my favorite line from this guys videos so far is "dont read the forums they will mind fuck you" good point..lol

On the one hand, he's honest. I like honesty. He provides interesting insight into practices and motivations whether or not you agree with it. But sometimes honesty isn't the best policy.

Putting himself out there as the face of extreme steroid use severely limits his future employment opportunities. He may have made the decision to make a living in the "bodybuilding industry" and that is fine.

Such self-promotional honesty about steroid use will also limit his placings in competition.

Contest promoters have no problem giving a trophy to the most "jacked" and extreme competitors on stage. They just don't want the winner to prolifically share details of his drug use online and via social media.

Supplement companies don't mind athletes using steroids as long as some gullible people think dietary supplements are the secret. But if everyone in the whole world knows it's steroids, hgh, synthol, etc., that equals an unsponsored athlete.

There are a limited number of "guru" jobs where people are making money selling this type of advice. And most of those jobs also involve selling product too.

I don't think he will ever earn a place on the Muscle-Tech team...

He swore up and down that Palumbo didn't give him his drug protocol. I'm sure he got it by searching boards since he was 12. It's not like Palumbo was ever the "drug guru" for Muscular Development or anything.

This kid is going to be screwed if Dave forgets to take his Prami at night :D

Given the amount of gear this kid was using, the contest pictures aren't all that impressive. Even less so when compared to pictures of pros at the same age who undoubtedly were using much less gear and no synthol. His delts and tris are impressive but they're all oil.

Since he doesn't appear to have anything close to pro genetics, the quantity of drugs used make even less sense. Rather than continue to risk his health in an attempt to overcome his genes, he should step back and honestly assess his abilities, IMO. Not that I think he will do that - denial is a powerful thing.

I posted a few pictures of Shawn Ray around the same age for comparison. Although I don't know for sure, I would be willing to bet Shawn Ray wasn't using anything close to what this kid did for his contest and definately no synthol.

Regarding the importance of genetics in professional bodybuilding, can anyone see anything in the young Kevin Levrone that would lead you to believe he had pro level genetics? I don't. Amazing that he was able to build that physique considering what he started with.

First of all it's a very small percentage that have the genetics for that level. So why you guys so hard on him for wanting to be at that level his way. Yes I wish I had 19 inch arms like Arnold did when he was 19, but for 99% of the public that's unrealistic... He said he used more synthol than gear and it was more money holly smokes that's a lot of oil.... and most of all current pros all use synthol don't let them lie to you.
You will see he's only 21 he will put on quality muscle in the next five years and place in the top 5 or more you forget even at his contest weight in these pics he's 245lbs and tall any else look that good at 245?

Top 5 of what in 5 years... the Olympia? Not going to happen. He'll make some progress but top 5 in the Olympia is out of the question, IMO. Look at his contest pictures. He has average genetics for bodybuilding. His strengths, delts and tris, have a half liter of oil in them - he's lacking everwhere else. All the drugs in the world won't change that. The kid is in serious denial; denial about what he's doing to himself and denial about his potential. He'll be lucky if he's still healthy in 5 years, never mind the Olympia.

He gained 2.5 inches on his arms after synthol. The only parts of his body that are exceptional are his arms and shoulders which he estimates to have around half a liter of oil in them. Take away the synthol and he's really not that big at all for someone running as many PEDs as he did.

I was watching the video and thinking "This is career suicide." It's like he is retiring and writing his memoirs. Back in the Lee Haney days, dudes were very tight lipped, granted they didn't have YouTube but I think there was an inner circle of secrecy.

Just imagine if Mark McGuire filmed a YouTube video, "Guys let me tell you my formula for getting the most home runs..if you want the most home runs you have to take the most gear..."

This kid seems to be lucky that his body can handle what he is putting in it, but he is isn't done growing and his mental dependency on the drugs will only get worse. How many kids can do that without messing up their health? The sad thing is that kids will idolize him and try to do the same thing...not really his problem but it is a reality.

It's a deep insight to the mindset that competitors have, sacrifice everything to win and rationalize away the risks.
