Just got banned from IM for questioning Z

I don't see any deletions in the thread being discussed but if ANYONE was banned or censored improperly in any way by an IMF moderator please bring it to my attention. I will look into it ASAP.

I recently removed two mods at IMF for improper behavior.

You saw the PM their rep sent me where he explained how all the mods, Admins & Owners of boards don't give a shit who advertises as long as they pay their sponsor fees and give free stuff to them...... You can chalk that one up as one of the boards he was talking about. It's pretty bad when mods are starting threads about how great a lab or source is.

I don't know what the situation is over there, I was around when R&M pulled off a big scam and after that I had issues with how things were being handled over there..... I think the same guy showed up using a different name right after, and pulled the same scam again too ( I could be wrong about that ). It just smelled really, really bad.


A big piece of advice I'd give you is to make sure your using the TOR browser or some other proxy, and a garbage e-mail account if you go on a hostile board like that and question a source. I know a guy who once questioned a scammer and the Admins or Owner gave that guys IP and info to the source he'd questioned.

Its not up to me, but if he was serious about cleaning up his board throwing out the trash would be an excellent start.
What happened to you is nothing new there, when R&M was operating posts were being deleted daily there. It allowed what might have been a minor scam to turn into a massive one where a ton of people lost a ton of money.

I don't go there other than to laugh a little because once you allow sources/sponsors like what is over there it becomes obvious what kind of board is being run.

He reactivated my account but the comment is still gone. It's a censored board, plain and simple. There's some good info on there but I'm gonna stay away from the sources now that I know the control they have. It's a perfect layout for scammers IMO.

Post any opinion you want within the rules of the board. The Uncle Z rep Robbie deleted your comments. None of the mods there had anything to do with the removal of your comments.

Just fyi, in Anything Goes you can be more colorful than other sections of the board.

You don't feel that allowing sponsors to censor can create a negative situation?

Robbie says he's Z's head rep, so whoever takes over for him is either going to be-

Getting rid of him doesn't change very much to be honest. He'll take the fall for his mistake but at the end of the day he's just taking orders, whoever replaces him will have the same attitude & mentality...... That's a pre-requisite for that job.
There is no such thing as an honest rep for a scamming source.

I agree with Kamala. If sources have the power to delete negative comments and ban members (by your admission, mods had nothing to do with it), the board has major credibility problems. In fact, that's about as bad as it can get, IMO.

That is basically giving a sponsor Mod powers, I mean what's left that a Mod can do that a sponsor can't?

I have mod powers here in the IML sub forum. Its common on many boards for reps to be able to edit, stick threads, change thread titles, delete, etc. However if it's proven that a rep abuses that power they are removed.

Also we have an anything goes section where reps do not possess edit tools.

It is subjective but for me its about giving the member the right to express themselves freely as long as they follow the rules.

I don't think so. Robbie claims he used our spam-o-matic software to ban but I have never seen that feature allow bannings when a user only has rep privileges. I placed an account in rep status and tested the feature tonight and there was no ban option however spam-o-matic has a few other nuances that I will have to test out to be sure. Also, reps can only soft delete so how he was able to hard delete I'm unable to figure out at the moment.

I have never seen this before and frankly if I had not run a report in the admin control panel after seeing this thread tonight I may have never caught it.

I hate to say it but judging by what he said in his PM to me you likely have a Mod that took him up on his offer, Robbie proved here that he's not a very tech savvy guy.
Its unfortunate that the system doesn't record who actually banned the member.
