Am I worrying too much?

Fellas,
I have been around here now for about 5 months, so I have become pretty familiar with the type of info that is generally accepted (and not) in members posts.

That said, I always worry about us posting pics of our latest score and showing the world what we have in our possession. I really worry that we are posting evidence of what we have, or had at one point (complete with date and time stamps).

Am I worrying too much? Should I NOT be concerned with this?

Please do not misunderstand me - I am not knocking any of you who do this. My assumption is that the majority of those of you who do share, do so with greater knowledge than myself about the safety of posting these pics. And make no mistake, some of the members I respect most do so.

So am I worrying too much about this?

I am super fucking paranoid so I would never say you are worrying too much. I don't even want my real ip connected with my user handle.

I wouldn't be worried about LE busting you over a picture. I would be worried about people you know coming across this forum and maybe recognizing something.

It's up to you how much you want to share. In my opinion they would go after the bigger fish (the sources on this forums) than the users, if they wanted to.

I personally dont feel as if its truly necessary on this board but I use a series of proxy servers(proxies.)

My concern is not raised to the level some folks is ,and I really respect the folks decisions here,as Bickel says.

I have always felt that self-disclosure is optional and I sleep well and if anyone here were to divulge ANYTHING about themselves to me..You too can sleep well at night!

The "End user" is not important to LE? I suppose that's true if you're telling buyers(end users) that they'll be referred to as the "CI" (confidential informant) in the federal indictment and they will be picked up when the sweep goes down and will be processed.
The"end user" while in holding will have to keep quiet and make sure they have a good story when they're called for "court" 2 or 3 days in a row to meet with fed prosecutors and how they will be questioned by the shot caller when they return from these mysterious court dates. They'll be given a short amount of time to have their discovery In hand to show the shot caller or they'll have to check in(PC/protective custody).
Even the rats who turn in the most players do some amt of time....a nice camp for 18months where the rats congregate, but time nonetheless.

No - they would need solid evidence , a picture is sometimes just a picture , I've got pics of me walking thru a pot forest , does it mean its my pot forest ? Or that I'm a pot grower ? Of coarse I'm not. lol.
I think you would have to make a sell and have a paper trail leading back to you . Thats why these wise vendors have offshore web hosting and bank accounts. Some take Money-pak and I know one that takes Pay-Pal (Cyprus Island), he says its legal there and law enforcement doesnt do anything about steroids.
Also steroid penalities are pretty lax in my state (OR) I never worry much about it , we cant even get the methheads busted around here , cops say they got better things to do.

In most states purchasing or possessing is a misdemeanor. So if cops have nothing better to do (ie. a narcotics division is low on cases) or if there is some type of community uproar (ie. high school kid dies from steroids -news headline) cops don't care about us. As far as the sources, that's a federal issue. The cops in your state can't do anything to your source in another state(except tell that source's LE they may want to look into him or report it to the feds). And Internet pictures and post are used very often to establish probable cause for search warrants.

Only the paranoid survive. Use a free app to strip all the exif info, especially geotag data, from your photos uploaded online as a standard security practice.

You can also disable the geotag via the settings on your phone, I have mine permanently turned off.

Some people give off way too much info kind of like those who Prep they tell everyone what they have to brag about it, no one needs to know and it doesn't benefit them at all just may make them a target in some situations.

People are their own worst enemies when it comes to privacy and anonymity. They voluntarily self-disclose way too much personal information. What State do they live in? What city they live in? Their telephone area code? Zip code? Occupation? What university they attend? Name of gym where they train? Name dropping?

Ever bit of information is relatively insignificant in and of itself but when taken together as a composite, it drastically narrows down the number of possibilities when it comes to identification.

Tor and VPN don't work so well anymore.

I am cautious and careful but I refuse to live in paranoia . I am not ashamed of what I do , but my wife is the only one who knows the truth , and I hide half of that from her .

If you weren't around when ORD happened. It seemed like just about every open internet AND local source I knew got busted within days of each other.

'Twas ugly. Very Ugly. To the point where I was scared of the 5-6 vials I had in my apartment lol (I was a younger lad). Gear became very hard to get (for me anyways) in the aftermath, and prices skyrocketed.
