Stretching ??

When i was doing Thai Boxing i was stretching all the time. But now when i hit the gym i never stretch.. Some say its important and others say no.

My advice is do dynamic stretching and warmup before a workout but don't overdue it because it can effect performance of your working sets. After the workout you can do some static stretching and foam rolling. Also you can just warmup by doing some light sets of the first exercise your doing and leaving the stretching for after the workouts or on your off day.

If you want quick warm-ups that are powerlifter friendly (I'm pretty sure you said you are a powerlifter), look up Joe DeFranco. Agile 8 hip mobility routine and I forget the name of his shoulder routine. Bottom line is they take about 10 mins tops each, and keep you limber.

That is a good warmup been their not too tiring, always good to get a mild sweat before, before squats I like to just sink it and stay their for a few seconds for a stretch and likewise in other lifts to stay on track, but for me rolling helps immensely.
