Western Union Flagging

Yea, I had a problem with WU, a couple of months ago. I went to my usual spot, there's this phone, the store owner puts in his Store ID # and then you tell the operator the info. But this time, the guys telling me that I have to go to a WU branch to complete the transaction, I tell him that I 'am at a branch, he repeats the same thing, I get the store owner on the phone, the guy tells the store owner the same thing. The end of this nonsense, is that I go to MG, I have no problem, and I have not, nor will I go back to WU. Those people act like you're sending their money to someone. I was trying to send to Turkey, which WU says they do, except this day.

each WU transaction goes throught NSA,

if your source was flagged, somebody could complain that he is scammer.

Source? I don't believe it. It's not that I don't think the government would like to do such a thing, but I don't believe they have the assets to accurately scan them. Even if I concede that each transaction data is collected by the NSA, there simply aren't enough resources to take action on them unless they are blatantly suspicious.

If you make one transaction then they do not pay attention to it but if they see that there is a guy getting cash and a lot every day then they keep an eye on this. How do you think that they bust lab from time to time, money tansactions are some of the leads. They do not have menpower to bust everybody but it happens all the time.

Legitimate business does not operate this way, so they know this.

I always send money in person fill out the form at like a grocery store and use a fake name . have never been questioned and nothing has ever gone wrong.. knock on wood .. I also look like a straight edge cause of my clothing I wear so maybe thats why

Ended up getting flagged recently. I do competitions, so needless to say my expenses can get pretty high and cause frequent payments. So I went into the WU location and this guy who's been an asshole to me in the past (asking all sorts of questions, eyeing me up, telling me the risks of not getting anything back, etc etc) was doing the same thing and eventually denied the transaction to me. I've done a couple transactions in there before.

Both clerks in the store ended up "investigating" the situation and were telling me how the WU transactions will go against my tax record and could lead to trouble with the IRS in the future due to "money laundering" and such. Is this true? Will MoneyGram do the same thing?

And all the locations I've used have asked for ID regardless if the payment was $200 or over $1,000. So using a fake name isn't an option.

Thinking about just using Green Dot MoneyPak if I can as that didn't require ID. I'd just have to buy multiple cards. Knowing my luck, the cashier will probably freak out and not let me buy multiple MoneyPak's because it seems suspicious.

I don't know how pro bodybuilders manage this aspect of the sport when their expenses are as high as they are.

Yea, WU was driving me crazy. I went to one that has a phone, the clerk dials in his store # and you tell the operator the particulars. Well the operator was telling me I couldn't send money to one country, but, the ad for the company said that they send money to that country. I have an account with WU for years and still this nonsense. I go to MG for everything now, and never, ever have a problem. I send money to a couple places Overseas, that you think would be a problem, it's not. MG seems happy to have the business.
The Pro's don't do it the same. I've just recently found a guy that was telling me he's a rep for a company, but, unless he gives you the contact info, you'd never find this place, and there's a whole lot of them that do business this way to stay off the radar..........................JP

I'll tell you how you do it. If your a Pro Body Builder, you have your own compounding lab. Like me.. So, the lab's send you their bank account number, you go to the bank,{ the one they use } Chase, Bank of America , etc. Fill out a "deposit "slip for what ever amount say $800.00, put the Account Executive name, account number ,$800.00 cash and hand it to the bank teller.. No fee's ,no id, no problem. You walk out to your car, you text your brother{ Mr. Account Executive} ,he pulls it up on "his" computer, see's the transaction.. About one hour later you'll get a e-mail with a tracking number and your goody's arrive in two days... I have not used any other way for years my friends, but your not me......AnalogMan

I have never had one issue dealing with western union. I always go in person to different locations each time though and i never do it over the phone. I just walk in there like i do with anything in life, i walk in like i own the place and have the "don't fuck with me" look on my face. I have been asked one time if i knew who i was sending the money to before and i simply said "now why the fuck would i send money to someone i don't know". Most of the time it's younger kids behind the counter and now a days usually anyone under 25 is either fat as hell or homosexual.

Chase has a new policy where only acct holder can deposit in the acct. They wouldn't even let my wife dep. my check even though we've been using that branch for years. I guess this is the reason why? I hope other banks don't adopt this policy. :(
