Pre Cycle blood test.

Preparing for a cycle and would like to get any/all necessary blood tests done. Going to self-pay and will go through either Direct Labs or Personal labs.
In regard to the pre cycle test I have found the following on the net.
" Hormones (steroids); Lipids (standard full Set); Full Liver Panel; CBC & CMP; Renal ; Electrolytes, Mineral and Glucose; Prostate"
Question.. what do they mean by Hormone/ steroids test? I know I need a testosterone test, but what other Hormone test's?.

Also looks like Direct labs is fairly cheaper than personal labs, any difference? They both direct me to the same blood drawing facility to get the labs done.

First Ty for the response.
So hormone levels don't need to be monitored during and after a cycle? Just your test levels? I have read several threads where a full test and hormone panel wad recommended, pre and post.
My current testosterone level is 600 (Male, Age 43, 6. 1" 180lbs)
LDL is 140 (was 187 back in Feb, still working on getting it down further)

Just want to make sure I do this right this time..

Still working on it. Most likely Sust (250 amps) 500 per week, Deca (100 amps) 300 per week. 14-16 week cycle. Main reason, have bad knees, been doing PT for 1yr and not making much progress. Need to build up the muscle around the knee caps. Last cycle was a bit over 15 years ago. Last time I did not have a clue what I was doing.. This time I will be sure to do my research first.

Total/LDL Cholesterol Concentrations, LDL Peak Particle Size, and LDL Subclass Phenotype

There were no changes (P ? 0.15 for all comparisons) in total (198 ±42, 191 ±45, 208 ±60 mg/dl) or calculated LDL concentrations (117 ±30, 128 ±37, 128 ±36 mg/dl) from baseline to week 12 or week 24 for the entire study population (Table 2). Similarly, there were no changes in either total or LDL cholesterol for the individual groups (P ? 0.24 for all comparisons; data not shown). However, in group 2 (nandrolone plus PRT), mean LDL particle size significantly increased (P = 0.03) bystudy week 12, but it returned to the baseline value bystudy week 24 (Table 2). There was no change in the proportion of subjects with LDL subclass phenotype A (predominantly large), AB (intermediate), and B (predominantly small) after 12 wk of study therapy (P > 0.10 for all categorical comparisons; data not shown).

Get a pre cycle and post cycle NMR test (if possible)

I normally do hormonal panel, cholesterol and liver pre and post. do this especially if you're taking stuff that can harm the liver like dbol, or stuff that affects cholesterol like var.

Get a pre cycle and post cycle NMR test (if possible)
I will add it and get it done:
(The NMR(c) LipoProfile Test utilizes the latest testing technology, NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), for a thorough analysis of your cardiovascular risk.
This test frequently reveals the presence of hidden but manageable lipid-related risk, which when treated diminishes the occurrence of cardiovascular events.)

Once I am finished doing my research on the cycle, PCT and obtaining any/all necessary lab tests and results, I will post the cycle I have in mind on the board so I can get the input from the community before I start.

Here is what I will be getting done over the next few days.

Test & Price
NMR LIPO Profile $127.00
CBC w/diff & plt $29.00
Estrogen Fractionated Pkg Hormone $159.00
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP-14) $29.00
FSH & LH (Hormone) $69.00

I am going to be thorough this time, not to worried about the money. More concerned with my health and knowing my levels, prior, during and post.

As I mentioned I had test done a few days ago.. it was 600.

If you are paying for this on your own dime you can use PrivateMDlabs and get the Female Hormone Panel. Use code jk4509sdk for a 15% discount.

You will get the TT, FS, LSH, E2 and metabolic panel and more.

Thx Gunrunner, however they do not cover my state. I do like their site as its the only one out of several that when you search "steroids" for lab tests it comes up with pre populated suggestions. They are the main tests that one would need prior to starting a cycle.......... The right way.
