Welcome. How is it bodybuilding behind bars? Do you get ample time
To lift and enough to eat, and what was your training set up like? Pretty cool story about turning yourself around brother, I'm genuinely happy for you.

Thank you bro. I appreciate that man. As for training on the inside: when I first fell in 2004 I felt like a real loser. I realized I had to grow up fast. I started training the first day I hit state side. Over the years I have met some decent people I could train with. Thru trail and error I figured out proper ways to lift. We have no internet so I would get all the muscle mags I could get my hands on. "Remember those?" Flex, muscle development, muscle mag ect ect. That's how I learned about diet and rep schemes. 5 sets of 5 being a staple for my first few years. Food is garbage but it does provide some potential nutritional value and does have some redeeming qualities. I got every meal I had coming from the state. It's the only way to truly get gains. I was fortunate to have some solid homeboys and family on the outs who laced my books up with money so I could buy really generic whey protien off the commissary. I was basically on a bulk for many years. When I knew it was time to parole I did a 6 month shred for the wow factor for my girl. The weights inside are really nice in some places and total shit in other places. There was a time when certain races controlled the weight pile and I'd have to get my pump on the pull up bar. Last but not least, rite befor I paroled one of my homeboys smuggled in a pack of pre work out. For years I heard all about it!!! It was 1mr vortex. I ate it raw and did a shoulder work out. It was awesome!!! Now a days I'll settle for a shot of cyp and some TNE for pre workout!!!

That's funny about the pre workout lol! I could see how you hear all about it then finally get to try it would set you through the roof, especially because there weren't tons of options out there before u went in.

That's awesome your girl stuck with you through the 10 years. Sounds like a keeper.. time to repay her for that loyalty, but shit you already know that. Thanks for sharing man, I enjoyed it.
