18/2... 20/2... newbie ratio question?

fairly new to homebrew so a bit unsure why theres so many different ratios of ba/bb ?
if 18/2 works for all compounds and theres no issues at all wouldnt we just stick to that?
why do people not brew with bb or lower ratios ? does it cause less pip or make it thinner?

The simple answer is different compounds and concentrations = different BA/BB ratios.

One glove doesn’t fit all.
lucky i asked as i thought it did?
especially with long esters, i brewed test e, tren e, deca and eq all with 18/2
if they didnt crash , does this mean the ratio is ok , or will a wrong ratio completely ruin a batch?

Pretty much every basic compound will go into solution at 18/2. After brewing keep them in a room temperature area to ensure it stays in solution. Sometimes carrier oil can affect the compound staying in solution. Stick with grape seed oil. MCT. Or safflower on all basic brews and you’ll be fine at 18/2. When you get a little more experience you can start playing around with ratios. Always have at least 1-2 BA in all your brews but compounds like test e test prop EQ NPP can be brewed with 10-15 percent BB. Higher than 20 BB and using solvents like EO or GU are for higher dose levels per ML or custom blends.

does 18/2 have less pip than 20/2 ?
is the purpose of adjusting ratios to avoid pip or some other reason?
No not really. I personally don’t think there is much of a difference but everyone is different. My personal opinion would be to stick with 18/2. Why use more solvent then needed.

The only time i ever go higher is with primo 200 or 300mg
Or when im 3 compounds at once u can always take ur time and add bb untill it disolves completly
No need to use more bb unless it wont suspend
