2 prescriptions for same Testosterone

I currently have a valid ongoing prescription for (4) 1ml bottles of Testosterone Cypionate per Month and I have just received a new paper prescription from the doctor when I told him I wanted to switch pharmacies.

My question is, If I had 2 prescriptions for the same drug at 2 different pharmacies, would they know about each other? Is there a database that all prescriptions are entered in? I know I would be breaking the law, but was just wondering.

How is Test scheduled?

Pretty sure they do keep track of shit, but it's probably a blip on the radar compared to opioids and the like. People doctor shop and farm scripts for that shit all the time.

Most states have a database for controlled substance prescription fills. test is a Schedule III controlled substance, so yes, it would show up. In most states both your doctor and pharmacy can see all fills for you, regardless of where the Rx is filled.

Nice to think that you could double up on your Test. Problem is, if it is reported to your doctor, he may cut you off. Then again, it's Test and not opioids, so who really knows?

It's risky, and i wouldn't do it, but if you're a gambling man, you could fill your script with your regular pharmacy, then have your wife/girlfriend fill the other script for you somewhere else.

If the doctor calls you out on it, you have plausible deniability. The script was on the table, she thought she'd do me a favor and fill it for me. She had no idea, so on and so forth.

I’d be worried about the law “ doctor shopping” carries a huge penalty if you got caught.
I’m sure a good lawyer could get you outta those charges... but that costs money and is it worth it?

If both scripts are from the same exact doctor you shouldn't have an issue, it could be because you wanted a different brand of generic test or you lost your vials etc.


Edit: you could always tell your doctor is he does find out " I don't like going to the pharmacy often so I just picked both up" the doctor sounds like an idiot because most people know you can transfer scripts on C meds at least twice without a new script.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that those databases exists. I know because my doctor showed me my record. Luckily I hadn't been doing anything I shouldn't. It only listed T though. Not my other medication.

I'm telling you it will be fine as long as your doctor isn't checking the database. I've been prescribed the same med twice because I lost it and one time because I didn't like the generic. Paper scripts in CA are only good for a 1-2 months (as far as I remember) so it's probably old already. You can also drop it off and not pick it up till you need it, last time I checked prescriptions for CII last a year at the pharmacy.
