2 slin questions

I've read about people taking between 5 and 10 grams per IU of insulin. Which number works better for gaining mass while keeping fat gain down? I was thinking about taking 5 grams per IU 10-15 minutes after sub-q injection and having Glucose tablets ready incase it's not enough.

Second question, everyone mentions taking slin PW but nobody mentions if they take it on off days. Does anyone take it during off days?

I PMed einstein about some help but never heard about from him.

Anyone have more suggestions?

i've gone as low as 6 grams per unit and have been fine..

taking slin on non workout days is a good way to get fat.. Taking slin on an arm or shoulder day isn't always a good idea - slin only works well on heavy intense training days legs back chest etc...

I would never myself do slin on leg days, until after i am done squatting. H-Glycemia sneaks on you too quickly, i'd hate to be under 500lbs and lose it. I have used immediately after squats. Humulin-R is my fav. 4-6 iu's is where i go too.Sometimes as high as 10, but not very damn often.

Thanks for the posts guys. I'm only going to do 10IUs PW. I do chest 2 days a week, regular chest on Wed and Upper on Saturday, and legs on Tuesday and back on Friday so I should be fine on intensity. I was thinking on doing this for 3-4weeks. How long do people usually run it?

I'm just causious of getting diabeties on it. My girlfriend is a RN and tells me horror stories about diabetes and kidney failure.

First of all, use Humalog....not Humalin R. Humalog (insulin lispro) has been shown to be much, much less likely to induce insulin resistance. Also, Humalog has a much quicker activity onset, so that the peak of activity is much closer to the end of your workout, which means less time in a catabolic, nutrient-deprived state. If you're on AAS at the time, then slin on off days isn't that beneficial, but if you're not also using AAS, then slin in the AM on off days is great to combat cortisol-mediated catabolism.

Nobody can tell you the ratio of glucose:insulin that'll work for you, as everyone has a different level of insulin sensitivity and requires a different amount of glucose. You have to experiment with the ratio yourself to see what works for you. You want to get close to the point where less would start to cause some hypo symptoms, but more causes no reduction in symptoms. You can bump your BG by 20 points or so in a couple of minutes with glucose.....it's not really a big deal at all.....especially if you're takin gin a good ballpark amount of carbs initially anyway

Yeah, I ordered Humalog. Thanks for the info on taking it on off days. I'm not running AAS now, I'm in post-cycle so I thought I'd give slin a try until I'm ready for a new cycle.
