For long term health to people think there is that much difference between 140mg, 175mg and 200mg?
I've been thinking a lot about it as of late, knowing I am a higher metabolizer and have been at and then above 175mg a week for more than the last three years. And that is between three different medical doctors. My current physician is of the mindset that if he is going to fix a situation, why fix to the minimal degree, and as long as all my other health markers are good, he would rather see me slightly high than low. He has Rx'd 300mg a week for the last year and a half. I have my annual with him tomorrow so we will see what the next year holds for me. My younger brother has had a few different TRT docs to simply due to moving for his work, and the last two also have him on 300mg a week.
Our medical doctors call it TRT and what is recommended by them, but fully understand my fellow brothers here say it isn't so. That said, I run lower at 200mg a week at times, in part to have more of my RX test to use on blast vs UGL so I know at least the test dosing is completely on point, and I cannot tell that much if any difference between 200mg and 300mg a week as far as how I feel, sexual drive, sleep. I do not think that difference in dose jeopardizes my health in any way, certainly no more than blasting higher doses a couple times a year, let alone the other compounds I add on top.
As I reach into my upper 40's, I do ask the question though every time I read the one line that "XXX ain't TRT" if our docs are idiots and harming us. If my clean eating, cardio, hard work in the gym and the 95% of the year I stay alcohol free are helping offset the potential harm. I do not agree that anything over 120 or 140mg a week isn't TRT. I do not think it can be said that 200mg a week isn't legitimate TRT. We are all different, and we metabolize at different rates. There is a line I am sure, where it is I do not know.
