No fancy title, no gimmicks, just the pursuit of being stronger, bigger and faster. im really excited for the first 6-7 months of training that is planned out. i have yet to see all of it, but after some lengthy conversations with my coach, and giving him feedback as to what seems to work for me, and what i need to improve on, i think we are on the track for some righteous gains. i had already lifted this week before i got my new training block. but everything got pushed back a day to ensure recovery from Mondays session of bench, paused squats, high incline DB and hack squats

i will get bodyweight next time im at the gym. id imagine im somewhere between 235-240.
i will also go into greater detail about nutrition and recovery methods i do in further post. just trying to be as accountable to myself as possible. i have some lofty goals for this year which i think are attainable with proper accountability. my goals this year are 600 pound squat(most likely in wraps) low 400 bench and a 700 pound deadlift.

Wave 1 Day 1

Competition Deadlifts with light bands
505+ 100-140 band tension
5 sets 3 reps

One arm standing DB Push Press
75lb DB
5 sets 5 reps

SSB Good Morning
275
5 sets 7 reps

First time deadlifting with bands. i really liked it as my lockout has become my weakpoint. the DB push press was also new. probably could have went a hair heavier but wanted to get the movement down. its really apparent my left side is weaker than my right. i can see this in bench videos also so i think DB movements will help. i also forgot how brutal Good Mornings are. my hams and back are toast today.

yes, i am still with the butthole pillager. i didnt really utilize him to my best efforts the last meet prep so that will be changing here in the new year. flooding his email box haha

PenisOverBitches is awesome at what he does. Glad to see you hitting your goals.

@Johnny442
good to see another Bully Yoga trainee. definitely changed my training views as well. 15 doubles is amazing in my opinion.

not sure what he is going to call what i will be doing but we are shaking things up a little bit. stay tuned brother!

what @Docd187123 said. It is what our coach calls his programming. it has variants as i see looking back at my old training sheets. i see my new training is still called bully yoga

@jaymaximus you bring me to my next post in the log.... as i said i was going to document all things recovery, nutrition, training etc etc

last night i took a hot yoga class with a friend from work. she is training to become an instructor, and we went to a place not far from my house. holy shit is all im going to say. it was tough. she lightweight threw me to the wolves as it was a more advanced class, and i had just deadlifted heavy the day prior.

what i will say is my hips and legs feel great today. back still has some DOMS from good mornings. it was tough, i sweated like a pig, and my low back was pumped 45 minutes into the 1h 5-15m class. i had to stop and do childs pose for 10 mins. got rubbed down by one of the instructors in training, which i guess is regular according to my friend. but yoga really works your core, and challenges you in ways i did not think. i recommend you guys give it a try. i will be trying to do it once a week. very good means of active recovery and meditation honestly.

Bully Yoga is a training philosophy my buddy/coach came up with. It uses several different principles including Prilepin's chart, Tuchscherer's RPE system, etc. He's had tremendous success with both powerlifters and bodybuilders with it.

Lol, it really doesn't have anything to do with yoga then?

Saw a video on YouTube that referenced it but I didn't really get the yoga part since it had no yoga involved.

It's just the name. He's the same coach I was working with last year.
