Im thinking about fasting on only water for 21 days. I've done some research, and I've read the body will go into ketosis on day 3 or 4. And the body will not even be that hungry, and the tounge will turn white. When true hunger returns it will be felt in the back of the throat and the tounge will return to being pink and that's when the body has run through natural fat stores. I also read, that the body is also detoxed, and is cleansed and rebooted in a way that can do things like even alleviate high blood pressure. It definitely seems like a hardcore way to run a cut. And i think I may attempt it.
Any advice will be appreciated.

21 days of fasting is one thing but 280+ days! Why isn't this guy dead!Wow! Can't believe that guy fasted for over a year and without any drastically negative health effects. I looked at the study, it's beyond anything I've ever even, or heard of.

How much did he loose? Supplements?
I think he ended at 195lbs IIRC. Shops were basically vitamins and minerals. I did t read the whole thing, only skimmed some sections.
It says here...

The takeaway you should get from this is to only do something like this, a prolonged fast, in a clinical setting where you can be constantly evaluated for deficiencies and/or negative health consequences. Not something you want to do for shits and giggles.
If it's the same case study that I recall reading some years back, he basically checked himself into the hospital and told them that he was going to fast for a year and rather than argue with him about it he would appreciate if they monitored and advised him.
So that's what they did, monitored and gave him advice. I think he was making a BM every few days. Supplementing with a multi vitamin and not much else.
