I'm about to dip my toes into the art of homebrewing. I know it's recommended to use a .2um pore size. But is it overkill to filter through both a .2um and then a .1um? Is it worth the extra hundred or so $$ to get the .1um filters?
What amount of liquid are these rated to filter before having to be replaced 500ml, 1000mL, more? I've looked but can't seem to find a straight answer. If I "pre-filtered" thru the .2um shouldn't the .1um get less clogged?
Rough guesstimate how much of end product gets lost/stuck in these bottle top filters?
Thanks in advance for any n all answers/thoughts/comments.
