5x5 workout

Im not sure of the 3 day a week routine though. I love my 5 on 1 off, but I've heard it's great for stength and mass. Your thoughts??

I've done 5x5s with an Upper/Lower split (2 on, 1 off, 2 on, 2 off); Day 6 was sometimes an auxiliary arm day and sometimes an off day. I made considerable gains on it, but hit a wall after awhile and couldn't get past it no matter what I did. Looking back, I'd do it for maybe 6-8 weeks again as others suggested.
