In another thread i was advised you need a seal between the zapcap and media bottle underneath. No seal, no flow. I had no idea. Bet this was my issue all along. Still have some raws to do so this i will definitely pay attention to. I'm foolish for not thinking of this on my own.

You may wish to consider 'capsule filters' the next time
i.e. Whatman Polycap
they're totally leakproof and simple to install

You can even run them with positive PRESSURE at the top inlet, not vacuum at the bottom outlet
that's what pharma does

Even a single bicycle hand pump will work to keep pressure at the top hose, without blowing it up from excessive pressure.
(add a check valve and gauge).
