A friend is being asked to call Post Office and ask for 'letter of non-delivery' - good idea?

Yes but the number doesn't exist in USPS and has never existed there. I've checked many times. So why would they have the package? I'm left to believe that NAPS is so stupid that they willingly put customers and themselves at risk.

I hope the NAPs chemists are a bit smarter than there customer service team.

I would get with NAPS and show him this thread. He needs to answer this in a public forum so that we all know how is now handling business. I've dealt with him in the past and he was pretty responsive.

Leave it alone forget about it. Its a trick because it normally they would just re deliver it. Unless it needed a signature. I once got a letter saying I need to come up to get my package as the sender did not put enough post age and I need to pay for what's lacking. I just left it as a lost cause. Once you come up there and sign you automatically pleading guilty.

Agreed, don't touch it. The cost of a lost package is part of the game. Keeping your freedom is way more important than risking it for something you won't get in the end anyways. If their a reputable lab they should reship for free anyways.

Yes that's just like a controlled delivery but they are asking you to go pick it up and LE could well be there to bust you once you sign for that package.
