Accutane permanent cure?

Standard dosing in US is 1mg / kg and 2mg / kg is common, so 80mg / day being “far beyond” is absurd.

I may have left out a little context. I think what it was referring to was the speed at which I titrated up to 80 mg which was over about 4 weeks. ChatGPT said a derm would usually take 6-8 weeks to reach that dose if at all.

Thanks for sharing. How long did it take for it to clear up? Have you cycled again since?
Honestly, it’s been years so I’m not entirely sure. It was only a few weeks though. I knew I didn’t want to run it long or dosed high because of how harsh it is, so I stopped as soon as I cleared up. No issues since and I’ve run a lot of gear since then lol. I’m guesstimating and probably off a little, but I think it’s been like 20 years or so.

Here you go, straight from the National Guidelines:

(“Trunk involvement”, ie, back, chest, shoulder acne, is the key indication for the higher end of the dose range)

thanks. So I was probably just too aggressive in raising the dose. I was following your 5 day rule but that probably isn't across the board for everyone especially since I have pre-existing eczema. Gonna hold at 80 for a while till hands clear up.

Yeah I mean the idea here is that 2mg/day is the absolute ceiling. You decide what’s tolerable, and unlike waiting 6 weeks to see a Derm for a dose adjustment, the beauty of “self directed treatment” is that you decide what you’re willing to put up with and can make the change immediately.

Although I titrated up pretty fast, I was willing to deal with the very flakey skin stage, for instance, once I hit 2mg / kg (180mg for me), I couldn’t hold it for long, and decided to extend my finish date by 3 weeks so I could “climb down” in doses and take it easy. By the way, when you start you going back down, sides drop off fast, even though the doses are still high. 140mg on the climb down, was a lot easier than 80mg on the way up.

Smart move, bro. I agree quite a bit with @Ghoul here. Climbing in doses is such a bitch, but when you go down it almost feels like you’re not even taking anything in comparison.

My derms protocol was going to be start at 20mg and get to 80mg as quick as possible to shorten treatment duration. Approved and paid for by health insurance too... and those guys dont like to pay for shit..

So no ChatGPT, its not an absurd dose you twat. I hope you read this and update your isotreiton information sources.. Maybe read all of Ghoul's posts while your at it lol

I am few months in to my second run at isotretinoin. I tapped out last year and the body acne came roaring back this summer (probably with the help of a little mast). I'm about to jump from 120mg/day to 160mg/day. Pray for my lips and nostrils.

Side note: Pay attention to the advice about not getting waxed while on isotretinoin.

I’m doing 20mg E3D. And I’m miserable?!
Nosebleeds, dry skin, fatigue. I’m only 2.5 weeks in. It has done a lot for my pores I must say. It definitely works. But I can’t imagine doing more.
I don’t have acne or oily skin. I just want better complexion.

What type of pore improvement do you see?

Smaller. Less “rough” skin.
Your prob taking just enough to get the full side effects while being on a smaller dose. I could be wrong, but I feel like between 20mg and 40mg you prob wont notice that big of a change to your sides. Im sure a bigger jump to say 80mg you would probably notice.

This is just speculative though as I havent started treatment myself.

I've been playing with Gemini today, and it is pretty sure that MCT oil passes through the system too quickly to properly absorb the isotretinoin, especially at aggressive doses. It recommends peanut butter or almond butter instead.

I always leaned into some fats with breakfast and coffee before my first dose. Eggs with cheese. Coffee with whole milk. A tbl of peanut butter. Second dose was with whatever I was having for dinner. I wanted to make sure at least half the daily dose was going into a high fat digestive system.

@Tk1000 my man, good shit.

Accufine, and really Healing Pharma as a brand, has gotten quite the bit of scrutiny on here. Especially after that test from awhile back that came in at 3mg or something like that.

Thanks very much for this.

If you’ve been waiting for these results to start a Accutane cycle, good luck, I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the way your skin looks when you’re done.
No problem. I made a mistake with sample vs batch at Jano otherwise we would have more results. I sent in another batch of 20mg, 10mg, & 5mg. I was quoted for additional samples not batches, I didn't want to do 4 tests at $120 each. The batch I decided to test sat in the UAE for 2-3 weeks so I figured if there was any degradation it would have been these plus they had the oldest manufacture date.

Plan to start soon but need to run bloodwork again next week to see if my liver enzymes, ldl, and ApoB are trending down from being pretty high. Once that looks good I'll start.

@Ghoul First off, thank you for so much insight. I just grabbed about 22grams total and will begin this in 26’. Prior you mentioned not to combine it with Doxy. Would this apply to topical clindamycin as well?
