Accutane question

Do you think accutane lowers testosterone been feeling like crap. Only have 2 months left on it but I had test levels come back sitting at 437ng. I was reading at my age 24, average is around 600. My estro is high at 86, so waiting for my doc to get back to me.

What was your test before using accutane?
What dose are you taking? 20mg? 40mg? If you start pushing 40mg + I've seen it cause a lot of issues

Never had it tested before. Felt fine before had energy and wanted to go to the gym. Now it's a hassle for me to step foot in one. I'm taking 80mg.

How much do you use daily and what side effects have you noticed?

How long does it take to reduce acne?

No changes in anything.

80mg daily
Some nose bleeds, dry skin and lips that's it.

I'm running a 6 month cycle saw clearer skin on the 3rd month

40mg per day, about to finish a year long run. Had dry lips and a stuffy nose for a bit and that's all. 90 days I was pretty much 80-90% acne free. And I dealt with BAD acne for close to a decade. Like big cystic acne that would leave scars. Best drug/supplement I ever chose to take. Life changing.

Nice. Would the acne have come back if you had stopped after 3 or 4 months?

That's why people run 3-4 month cycles... eventually returns diminish and you feel like shit.

I’m doing the same as Evom1. 40mg a day. I’ve been on for probably 6-8 months now. Just dry lips. Nothing that Burt’s bees chapstick can’t handle.

I had a really bad acne break out while running a cycle and it just wouldn’t go away. I started with 20mg and then went to 40mg a day. Once at 40mg, I noticed a huge difference.

Today, I have no acne anywhere. Face has been clear as day since month 2. Back has zero acne. Just some pigmentation that has slowly, slowly decreased. I still have another 4-5 months but the low dose accutane has been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Take as much time as you need to get to you cumulative dose (120mg per kg of body weight).

All blood work has come back fine. Drink plenty of water and eat a few eggs when you take it. It needs the fats for digestion I believe. Don’t quote me on that, I just know taking accutane requires a healthy fat diet.
