I'm totally all about looking like a demigod rather than a planet. i respect the dudes who can get crazy mass, but the shit is not good to look at.
a mate of mine is constantly telling me not to do squats otherwise i will "get too thick" and not be able to hit that nice V shape. Squats are my favourite shit to do though, I'm a tall ecto so its gonna take a lot to get THAT thick..

i think it varies everywhere but i know they have done studies in the past and 80% of women like brad pitts body in fight club over anything else, and he was skinny as fuck then, jacked, but very small. i know a lot of incredible looking women who even this jeff seid is too big. that dudes got an incredible body though.
you're so right about big ass dudes only impressing other big ass dudes, its a vicious cycle. its like a battle to be the biggest alpha, but the ladies are more into the guy who's in shape but not obsessed with his body image..

Phil's days are numbered. Lots of guys are hot on his heels, and his physique has gotten worse since '13. If that wasn't enough , he thought it was a good idea to publicly insult the most powerful man in the bodybuilding industry. His ego is writing checks his ass can't cash.

I personally would like the old school bodybuilding look as well. However the attitude of a lot of physique competitors rubs me the wrong way. While old school bodybuilding presented the body like a work of art. I feel this is some how missing in physique even if a lot of competitors have the oldschool look. I think if physique would get that is will eventually beat bodybuilding in sales as it appeals to more people. Kind of like bikini trumps womens bodybuilding.
Rachel McLish was the most popular female olympia for a reason then Bev came and it went to the freak show years following sales dropped. At first is was a site the be held looking at Bev or anybody of new freakish proportions Yates for example but when everybody competing starts looking like a freakshow it gets old and that is how come bodybuilding died. That wow factor only happens once before it wears off and people go back to looking at what is aesthetic.
They made the physique category because of the demand. The WBFF took a different approach to bodybuilding going the more aesthetic route in both male and females. Also combining some bullshit fashion show of sorts to it (which I could careless about about if you couldn't tell). It started to generate a lot of traffic and the IFBB being the super power that is is is like fuck that we need to capitalize. Plus the WBFF kind of limits your freedom as a competitor which limited the WBFF from growing faster.
