Aggressive cut refeeds

300 - 500 cal surplus per day is plenty to add LBM - though it depends where you are and how far away you are from your genetic limit. For example, when Justin Harris coaches massive open BBers he has them eating less than a 1000 cal surplus per week in the off season, using carb cycling and even hypo-caloric days on rest days.
100% not saying anyone needs 1000 cals a day. The actual science is depressing if you go deep enough it’s around 150 cals a day it tops out but that wasn’t in enhanced. I’m in the 500 or more camp when I’m bulking as Idc if I gain some fat I’d rather make my bulk worth all it is and enjoy it.
 
wtf man are you little? Not being mean that’s just an absurd amount for most enhanced dudes. I’m easily 3500+ but I’m a bigger guy.

I absolutely care if I gain fat, I feel like at a certain point the calories are diminishing and not doing anything for you other than stacking fat, and fuck fat I’m not a fan of that shit at all.

I have been hella curious though like if it makes more sense adding more calories when bulking enhanced, cause what I know about bulking and cutting, is natty information. I don’t wanna go over 15 bf on a bulk though fuck that.

There is such a thing as being too lean if you’re trying to add size and have a fast metabolism. When eating clean it is quite a challenge to get those calories up and keep them there while also maintaining digestion, sleep, etc. it’s a tough game.

Youre misunderstanding what I’m saying. Not telling you to let yourself go but I’m saying if your starting a bulk at 12% and expecting to stay there youre doing it all wrong. Calories are what build the mass (the bricks) the workers are the stimuli and the anabolics. The workers can be a plenty but if they don’t have enough quality materials to build with you’ll build Jack shit and just paid a lot of “money” for guys to stand around. JM Blakely taught me a lot about bulking and cutting you should watch his stuff on YouTube.

No I get the jist of what you’re saying. My response is purely out of like I’m fucking terrified of getting fat from gaining weight. At 2800 calories that 300 above maintenance, which as a natty is standard. Now again, I don’t know jack shit about bulking on gear, so that im totally open to, cause I absolutely wanna get the most out of an off season blast as possible.

Bulking on gear is definitely different. The nutrient partitioning pushes more calories into protein synthesis. Source of calories matters of course but if you're bulking clean and you're not grossly overshooting you won't get fat.

And as muscle growth increases so does BMR so if you get in tune with your body you will know exactly how many cals over maintenance to shoot for so you can grow and stay lean.

GH is pretty helpful here too. If you're not on, get on.
