Shot problems

AS I state din my other thread, I have been on trt for a while. Now I am on test enanthate and have been having some real bad shots lately. I have been to spot injection for help, but it hasnt helped me.

Heres what happens. I am using a 23 guage 1" 3cc syringe. When I am a little past halfway in, sometime almost to the hilt, I hit what I guess is a nerve center. It feels like a 110 volt shock to the leg. Really nasty. It makes me mad, as I have to re pin and takes more time. Usually its the right leg, but to day its the left. I am shooting dead center of my thigh (in a left/right plane), towards the upper part of the thigh.

I cant figure out how to give myself a glute shot as I am not a contortionist from the circus.

My Dr is telling me I should go for pellet implants but I dont know anyone using them yet.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Dead center, left to right? Sounds to me like you might not be hitting the quad muscle. You are shooting IM right? I shoot into the outer part of my quad. Say I'm going to do my right leg, I stand up and flex to find the thickest part of the outer quadricep, about halfway down on the right.

But then again sometimes my leg twitches when I'm injecting too. Sometimes I can't even feel I have a needle in my leg.

Hi Larry switch to a smaller needle I use a 27g 1ml x 1/2" lg. needle and shoot into my thigh. I start lower near my knee say 8" from it off to the outer side. I shoot 70 mgs of 200mgs/ml of Depo T so my 70 mgs is only .35mls. I do my T shots every 3 days and I do HCG 400 IU's the 2 days each in between using the same size needle. When I pull out T out of the vile it takes about a min. I pull the plunger all the way down and hold it untill I get just a little more then I need I then push the air back into the vile and shoot.

That size needle your using is dam large.

I do my T and HCG shots on E2D schedule.
Day 1-- T + Liquidex
Day 2-- HCG 380IU

I dispense Liquidex using insuline syringe with cut out needle, just to be real accurate with my AI dose.

T and HCG shots are subq around navel.
Donut shape area centered around navel.
Outside Dia 6"
Inside Dia 1.5"
T I shoot mostly in lower area where the fat is loose, to prewent leak-back (very minimal)
HCG I shoot in upper part od donut area.
For either T or HCG shots I use
31ga 5/16" long 3/10cc needle
using this size syringe one is able to go up to average 210mg/week T dose
=0.3*7/2*200=210

I agree with pmgamer, you don't have to use a 23G needle. I know using the larger gauge makes drawing an oil based liquid faster. I use a 25G, 1" pin and inject the quads exclusively, mainly the meatiest part of the middle quad (rectus femoris) or toward the outer part (vastus lateralis). Hitting a nerve on occasion is par for the course. Painful and often accompanied by an odd involuntary contraction of the muscle. Other times the shot is painless.
I've never tried a glute shot either. Probably not necessary except for guys pushing in larger volumes.
I do all my shots sitting so my quads are relaxed. Anyone do them standing?

I do them sitting on the bed with my legs straight.

I am going to try the outer part of my leg.

Sometimes when I shoot in the middle, its togh to get the needle into the muscle. I feel like I need to knock it in with a hammer. Could I be hitting a tendon. What is happening????

Legs straight? So is your back propped against the headboard or wall? Are you contracting your quads in any way?
Why not try sitting at the end of the bed or in a chair so, the quads are stretched and relaxed.
Not sure what you're hitting unless you are down near the top of the patella and not in the belly of the muscle.
I usually grab the muscle with my free hand and "scrunch" it up a bit while injecting. That's the way I was shown by a nurse in my Doc's office.

Are you sure the leg is completely relaxed? Straightening the leg out in front of you might be causing some muscle contraction. Injecting into a contracted muscle can be pretty painful.

I don't think needle gauge will matter if you hit a nerve.I would avoid dead center.I stay between 1 and 2 o'clock,6-8 inches from the knee.Eerily painless....
