I've been at it about two years now, got my blue belt about 1/2 year ago. Two tournaments as a white belt, competed in gi white belt, and beginner no-gi. Finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all divisions. I went 11-3 in my matches. It'll definitely be harder competing as a blue belt!

I took 2nd in a naga tournament around 2013 I think it was. No-gi. Thinking about getting back into it again but I'm not to many years from 40 now a days sooo

Badass dude. What belt did you compete at?

Heck, I'm 40 now and rolling strong! Just cuz your upper 30s doesn't mean it's time to hang it up. Get some!

All the more reason to improve your technique, that's how I manage with the 20 yr olds. No strength at all.
