Any use for sublingual testosterone drops?

He prescribed Clomid at 15mg EoD.

I'm now 28 years old. I've been officially struggling with this problem and various doctors since age 19. First symptoms appeared around age 16.

I have low SHBG and my body can't handle a higher level of testosterone. Additional testosterone just drops SHBG even further. Officially, I'm "secondary."

I am not informed enough to comment on the SHBG. What happens when you go on TRT for a long period of time? You say you can't handle it...what do you mean? Do you have a cause for your secondary hypo? What are your normal baseline levels?

No, there is no known cause for the secondary condition.

Baseline, my free testosterone is low-normal and my total testosterone is around 285ng/dl. That baseline was even lower when I was younger: 185ng/dl at age 19.

When testosterone (in any form) is used: my total testosterone becomes normal, but my free testosterone reaches double the maximum threshold of the "normal range."

This is because my SHBG does not increase along with the testosterone boost. With crippled SHBG production, the only way for my body to keep free (active) T within its preferred range is to produce a low amount of total testosterone.

In other words, my body can't "bind" extra testosterone.

Interesting. So when you go on TRT do you just get no effect?

How do you feel around 285?

I feel terrible around 285.

You're right. There is no effect when T is introduced. Often, the symptoms of the excess free T are worse than how I feel at my baseline.

So, to all that have read this thread, Dr. Scally especially, is there anything I can do with this stuff? Is it trash?

It is TRASH! There is no indication for its use. The doctor does not have your best interest at heart, but from this alone he/she has their monetary interests paramount. Since Crisler prescribes this shit, I am sure you can find "support" at his forum!

haha truthfully it sounds gross......but administer the test up your ass.....make sure its clean....make sure you squirt some bakingsoda up your ass too.......i dont know whether or not it will work......but it may work better than sublingual

the_analpolack,

That was just bizarre.

I suppose I'll use your nonsense bump as an opportunity to provide a status update:

I tried the drops. Once.

A single drop wreaked absolute havoc. I felt like I had "whiskey dick" for at least the next six hours. I'm never going to touch that stuff again.

If you have low SHBG, I advise you not to waste your time with Eugene Shippen. He is of the belief that it is of no consequence, primarily because there are "currently no tests that measure it accurately." Secondly, he "[does] not know why it would matter."

Very strange. I've heard of Shippen normally prescribing clomid right off the bat to confirm and test for secondary hypo and the response.

But the vial of test for under the tongue for primary treatment is off the wall for sure.

I would surmise very few of Crisler's patients even use the trouches. Even Crisler says it isn't for everyone and he stays away from them typically for the most part. If someone wants to try it, he will work with the patient and see what the response is. He never pushes that stuff though.

Cheque drops is a veterinarian steroid made by UpJohn that was designed to keep female dogs from going into heat and it is a very powerful steroid. Many athletes have used Cheque drops prior to weight training or contact sporting events to dramatically increase aggression. Also, it was rumored that Mike Tyson had used Cheque drops that led to the infamous “ear-biting” incident during his Evander Holyfield match. The drug is a sublingual liquid, but during the past 12 years, Cheque drops have faded away from popularity and have become very difficult to obtain. However, many users have reported many side effects without noticeable gains while using Cheque drops. This drug, if it is obtained, should not be used any longer than two weeks due to it being strongly hepatotoxic. https://thinksteroids.com/steroid-profiles/cheque-drops/

No, he does not accept insurance. You must pay $650 for the initial consultation and $150 for each subsequent. Medications that he prescribes will come from his partner compounding pharmacy and will be shipped to your house. He made a number of suggestions regarding supplements like Maca, Yohimbe, Saw Palmetto, etc. I didn't feel like he was pushing anything on me.

He seemed very well intentioned, but set in his ways. He didn't want to listen to any suggestions about investigating possible thyroid or metabolic disorders. He does not believe in free testosterone readings; he says they are always flawed.

I know that he is respected. That's why I was so curious about this seemingly bizarre route of testosterone administration. Liquid testosterone in the mouth for 30 seconds and then swallow it? Doesn't sound realistic to me. Even Dr. Crisler's troches are lozenges that remain for about 10 minutes.

I went to see him because I know he offers "alternative" therapies such as using Clomid as sole HRT. I also wanted a second opinion from one of the few "big names" in HRT.

james.. drop this mother fucker like bad anal.

.............*********** i had a brief experience with a girl trt doc. she prescribed me troches and told me to go to the local compounder. I take them, they don't work... i call her back, she essentially says "sorry, your fucked, i don't prescribe injectables" I drop her like bad anal and move to the next prescription writing monkey.

I've been to many many doctors irl for my trt. I have yet to see anyone approaching the level of Scally's hard Rx Cock.
When i talk to trt doctors in real life, i always act like Bambi, just wondered into a meadow over his antlers... i don't know what to do? you know so much!! o really !! thank you! (works, like 20's at a titty bar)

But seriously, i'm the phd on trt, and they know JACK FUCKING SHIT. It annoys me that it is counterproductive to educate them, there ego's cannot sustain that blow..... One doc figured me out for a minute though, she asked me questions about why T shots would be bad for fertility.... i don't know if she can sniff my bullshit or not, i laid it on extra thick after dodging the question and acting like i didn't know the answer.

I'm forced to be a subversive jackal to get the medicine i need b/c of gross incompetence on the collective dr's parts.

Eventho there is a lack of scientific evidence for the effectiveness of sublingual and bucal there is no reason to think that some of the dose would`nt be absorbed. Whatsmore, it is a fast delivery mode. Consider nitroglycerine tablets under the tongue for angina.
Every other drug I can think of is effective sublingual.
Why not testosterone ?
But there is a lack of evidence and we dont like to proceed lacking evidence.
And BTW, rectal administration is an effective delivery mechanism. Fennegrin suppositories come to mind.

Thanks for the input, Jayho.

UPDATE: In addition to the sublingual administration, I have been told to put drops of the testosterone the head of my penis. This is supposed to reawaken androgen receptors in the area.

Thoughts about that one? I'm just curious if the idea has any merit.

Whoever you are seeing is NUTS.

My wife would roll over a die if I had to apply drops to my wee wee head. What and then stick it covered in T in her? I don't get it...this thread made me laugh for the first time in weeks.

The concept, as explained to me, is that the androgen receptors in the area and the muscles in the area that are required to be well developed for erectile quality have not been exposed to adequate amounts of testosterone.

I have had a testosterone deficiency, presumably, since puberty. I don't suppose he would prescribe this brand of treatment to a male with adult onset hypogonadism or even one that was able to get past the age of 18 with relatively normal levels of testosterone.

stumpy40, he did say I'm supposed to WASH it first. ;)

I really don't know what to make of it. He's not a quack. He's one of the doctors that is generally respected amongst members of "the boards."

I'm glad that my treatment regime is, at least, good for the anecdotal amusement of Meso-Rx.

What happens when you take testosterone?
Dont explain what you think is happening but how you feel.
In what form, doseage ?
What were your serum levels?
Post labs if you can.
Something doesnt make sense here beyond non-standard medical practice.

I didn't mean any disrespect to you and your situation, It's just the visual of doing it and then trying to get some from the misses. Kinda amusing considering all that we go through with this therapy. It sucks when you have to do all this just to feel normal.
