any vegans

o_O Do you eat sharks and grizzly bears often then? Conversely, when is the last time you heard of a chicken or a cow attacking and eating a person?

Have you ever heard of the Yulin Dog Festival? It's an annual celebration in China. Long ago, it was believed that eating dog meat would stimulate internal heat that would keep you warm through the winter... It's turned into just a cultural celebration now I suppose. Something like 10k dogs are crammed into crates and transported to Yulin where they are paraded in front of huge crowds and then killed, cooked and eaten. I've heard, although I'm unsure if it's true, that they purposely parade the dogs in front of the loud crowds in order to stimulate adrenaline in the animals, which in turn will give those that eat the meat extra vitality or something. A lot of the animals are sick and suffering by the time the trip to there demise ends... But, they still get to be in a nice loud parade before they get there heads lopped off. Dogs love loud parades and crowds after all, right?

Now, what do you think about something like this? Sounds pretty horrible to me, I love dogs. But, kind of hard to judge when Americans do a lot of the same things here. It's just a different meat from a different animal.

If someone doesn't believe in killing animals for food because they personally don't need to eat them, maybe you should have some fucking respect for there ethical views. Maybe this doesn't apply to you though if you're just eating grizzlies and sharks out of self defense... Keep up the good fight.
Thats because the chinese arent human and we hate them.

Tread lightly pal... I just ate about 16 pounds of Chinese food for lunch at the buffet, those inhuman Chinese folks cooked me damn good food. Numbers on the books aren't going to look good at the end of the day because of this guy. My girl is a voracious little carnivore herself.

Nah I'm not one to give out respect to people. Btw those Asians sure know how to throw a fucken party huh. Brb going to go throw some kittens in a fire pit.

Yeah, that was kind of the point of the post... I guess it went over your head, I don't really feel like dumbing it down for you though.

Individuals that don't respect others are the same individuals that walk through life with no one respecting them. It typically stems from a lack of self respect and self confidence. That's you bud... But shit, enjoy those kittens. And bears and sharks.

No actually my response went over your head. I don't need to respond to a long winded post that took way too much time to write. I have no interest in reading or responding to a nobody on a internet forum. Thanks tho brah I'm just going to hit that ignore button because you're a nobody to me remember so respond away.

What's up with the bad attitude?

Wow how high school of you to insult someone on how they look. Ya my first post was obviously a joke but for some reason some of the messo "cool kids" take every opportunity to try and pick a internet fight with someone.

Yup you're right I have a bad attitude for patronizing someone trying to start an argument. Oh right you didn't bother reading that part right. Good day to you too sir.

A lot of people are harsh on vegans for some reason. It's like religion, if you don't try to indoctrinate me I have no problem. Some people do it for ethical reasons and some for health reasons. If someone is asking for help and you have nothing to add, move on. This happens on every vegan thread.

Okay so I have watched what the health and food inc. and am basically on the brink of becoming vegan. It's mainly the actual science behind humans and evolution and how our body's were not actually made to eat decaying flesh. The only thing that is holding me back is the fact

Good Vegan, Bad Vegan

OCTOBER 2, 2017 - I have no argument with people who adopt a vegetarian or vegan diet for health, religious, environmental or ethical reasons. But I object vehemently to proselytizers who distort science or the support for dietary advice offered to the more than 90 percent of us who choose to consume animal foods, including poultry and red meat, in reasonable amounts.

Such is the case with a recently released Netflix documentary called “What the Health” that several well-meaning, health-conscious young friends have urged me to watch. And I did try, until I became so infuriated by misstatements – like eating an egg a day is as bad as smoking five cigarettes, or that a daily serving of processed meat raises the risk of diabetes 51 percent — that I had to quit for the sake of my health. While the film may have laudable goals, getting the science wrong simply confuses the issues and infuriates those who might otherwise be supportive.

Slow your roll Millard..
It’s just a stupid documentary!
I didn’t even finish it because it’s such a crock of shit!! Just because one is or goes vegan, it doesn’t mean we hate meat eaters or that we forget what it’s like to consume things like meat, eggs and dairy. This is just the view of the film maker and a select few bias doctors that he hired. Don’t worry about the diabetes. I would be more concerned about the fecal matter that your eating.
( If your source is your local super market)
Now if you farm your own meat or get it from a clean source, no worries.
Also science still hasn’t figured it all out yet anyway. When I was a kid, eggs and butter where bad along with all saturated fats.
Times have changed and now there good again. Lol, now dairy is catching a bad rap and plant based milks are cashing in on it!!
I blame the media more than the scientists.

Once the animal is dead the flesh slowly begins to decay. That's why we have to vacuum pack, salt or refrigerate meats. So in theory by the time we actually eat it, it is in fact decaying.

Yes, and we all started to die the day we were born...

Arguments like that is why sane people know that Vegans are nuts (literally, if you become what you eat, as you guys like to say).

You need to be able to get all of your macros and nutrition from a limited food group. You need to know understand how to combine certain foods to get complete proteins. I know one vegan and one vegetarian that both got themselves into trouble because they were lacking important parts of a healthy diet.

+1

Studies show that the VAST majority (80%) of Vegans and vegetarians suffer from serious nutritional imbalances.

It's quite costly and complicated to keep a balanced diet if you take a fanatical approach to what you can eat. Why adopt a diet that by design requires taking supplements just to get the basics?

Such arguments are based on science unfortunately it's "junk science" with limited validity and /or reproducibility.

One things for certain, people are living longer now by decades compared to years past and it's not bc they went "vegan".

Keep it all in moderation and chances are you'll be GTG!

There's something odd about the religious zealotry of Vegans and vegetarians.

If you compare their health outcomes, or just how they look, with someone else who eats a thoughtful diet (paleo, raw etc) it's striking how sickly vegans and vegetarians look.

Compare cardio bunnies with those who lift - who looks better?

That's just superficial but your looks (skin, eyes, hair etc) are good proxies for health.

Sure, eat more dark greens, but don't forego quality animal protein.

Post a study please. I've read a few that indicate it may not be as common as some studies would suggest.

It's a personal life choice. We live in a day and age where, if you want to, you can survive eating only plant based foods. Pretty much all supplements that a vegan needs to add to their diet can be found in a fortified plant based protein shake or a daily multi vitamin.

My point was that if someone wants to be a vegan, they just need to be proactive with their diet. If you do that, you're good to do what you want.

Interesting, but this decay process spares "plants" - NOT.

If people only knew the amount of additives being used to maintain
the color of and firmness of "fresh produce", they just might reconsider
the concept of vegan being "healthy".

Of course you can, if you truly mind your Ps and Qs all the time, take all the supps etc.

Vegans are notoriously deficient in B12, vitamin D, calcium, iron, zinc, healthy fats EPA & DHA, and vitamin A. Too little Iodine as well. And they typically have the lowest protein intake of ANY diet variety.

It's just not a good diet. Certainly not for BB purposes. Not for the average person.
