Rookie said:Instock, I had a complete A/C separation about 20 years ago from a motorcycle
accident. It was surgical repaired with a piece of Dacron since the ligiments were completely torn. My shoulder has done pretty good and it is good that you dislocated your A/C joint and not your rotator cuff ,the A/C joint does not more nearly as much as the rotator cuff. If is dislocated, you probably completly torn some ligaments and will most likely need surgery. My surgery was a success and that was a long time ago - you will have no problem recovering if you have suregery. Do some research for a Sport Medicine Shoulder Specialist in you area - Good Luck.
