Anyone else here a true diehard wrestling fan or am I the last surviving member of intelligent life :D ? Every friggin Saturday morning as a kid for years and years and years I would park myself infront of the T.V. and watch either World Class Championship Wrestling from Texas or WWF...sometimes if we were lucky we could catch some Florida Wrestling with Gordon Solie, lol. Complete addiction...my mother thought I was soft but for those 2 hrs. I was the happiest kid ha ha. I must have hundreds and hundreds of wrestling magazines in storage back at my mother's house, VCR tapes of matches, etc. Ha it would be hillarious when my mother walked in and the guys face would be a crimson mask...just bleeding everywhere. Good memories

Anyway long live Tommy Rich!

Oh Ya,, remember the WWF saturday morning cartoon... I loved that shit,, dont really care for it anymore... I had Hulk Hogan Posters hanging in my Basement,, all around my "Home Gym" which consisted of a bench from Wal-Mart and those grey plastic weights that were filled with concrete... Anyone remember Bulldog Bob Brown? He was on the Midwest circuit... Before the WWF there was a Sunday morning wrestling program,, it was the NWF or NWA,, again,, it was midwest,,, that was where ric flair started,, hell he was the champ for years,, thats even where the road warriors started,, there were so many that went to the WWF,, cant even remember them all. Mr Pogo,, The Junk Yard Dog... I think Im gonna cry.

Oh yeah, AWA ruled! Dusty Rhodes, Magnum TA, Midnight Express, The Four Horsemen, Barry Windham, Wahoo McDaniel, Billy Graham, The Freebirds, Eddie Gilbert, Road Warriors, Terry Funk ... oh man...sometimes we'd get Texas Wrestling, with The Sheepherders, Jeff Jarrott, Kevin Sullivan, Mark Lewin ... then, WWF, Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter, Hulk Hogan, The Masked Superstar, Junkyard Dog, Jesse 'The Body' Ventura, Randy 'Macho Man' Savage, Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine...I still have the match where Hulk Hogan beat the Iron Shiek for the WWF title , on a BETAMAX tape.

I remember when Ken Patera got arrested for throwing a boulder through the front window of a McDonalds. Apparently, him, and some other wrestlers (I forget who), where drunk and hungry, and McDonalds was closed. So, the story goes, he trew the boulder through the window, and the cops find them inside trying to make something to eat.

Did anyone else see the documentary about wrestling, where they show Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, and he was a crackhead? It was sad. He said Vince McMahon would supply them all kinds of drugs, pain killers, steroids, etc. Of course, he was saying those things so he could use it as an excuse.

Anyway, don't get me started....could go on, and on...like when I went to meet Robert Remus (aka Sgt. Slaughter), who was a neighbor of my cousin, in Charlotte, NC, when I was wanting to become a pro wrestler...ok, ok, someone elses turn...

Don't forget "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin and his air-freshener spraying babe Precious escorting him to the squared circle. I lived for that shit every weekend! Also the boogie woogie man Jimmy Valiant (whatever happened to him)?

The Freebirds, there were four of them total if I remember correctly, good one Lonewolf. IceMan Parsons, The Great Kabuki, The Dingo Warrior, all 1200 Von Erichs, Kamala, and Gentleman Chris Adams. I believe these guys are resting in peace: Gino Hernandez, Adrian Adonis, and Bruiser Brody.

No one mentioned Captain Lou Albano, and the rubberband in his dirty beard. And Freddie Blassie. I'll never forget those two. Oh, and the Samoans--remember those ugly bastards?

I saw Razor Ramone back in like 1990-- he looked and acted drunk but he was wrestling some big karate guy. I talk to a younger wrestler now and then-- he fills me in on the rules- the "need" of wearing special wrestler boots-- the places he ordered his speedos and pants. if you think we are being screwed by supplement companies, you should see what these guys spend on clothing!

Wrestlers= Mobile Bodybuilders

Three words for you.

Billy
Graham
Superstar

YEAH!!!

Geez, but i saw him in a documentary like 10 years ago though, and it just about made me cry. No kidding guys, he had to use one of those old lady walkers. His joints were just gone.

I feel so bad for him.

I met George "the animal" Steele in Burger King on my way home from one of the WWF Matches that they had in Augusta ME about seven years ago. I walked into the burger king to get a drink it was on the pike on the way home and he was there with the twin refs, he was standing in front of me and he turned around and said hi how ya doing, I was in complete shock I said good. I wanted to ask him for his autograph but I couldn't. I have seen Cheif Jay Strongbow, Tony Atlas, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock before he was really big and famous, I loved Ivan Putski, My mom loved Superfly, I have seen Brett Hart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, And Jim the anvil, Andre the Giant, damn I remember them all. Now ya'll made me feel old lol
