My healthcare is fine, because I have excellent benefits as part of my job. It was part of my decision when accepting the job. Businesses adapt to the times, this isn't the first down market, nor will it be the last. Sounds like your business is too optimistic to survive, I hope you can pivot.

As for the OP using the term “regime” in the thread title, that’s an incredibly loaded term, being something almost exclusively associated with unelected dictatorships & whether you like him or not (I don’t), Trump was fairly elected President under the current US democratic system.

Whether you think Trump is trying to dismantle the current / historic US system of democracy is a different matter, but absolutely does not change the fact that he is the democratically elected leader of the US.

What I mean by "the fix has been in for 50+ years" is that from watergate, citizens united, patriot act, and everything in between and until today, the government is not doing good things for we, the people, regardless of who is in office.

Its all a sham, its all a show. I don't mean that the election is fixed, I'm saying it doesn't matter who is president.

Yep, I've given up hope on ever owning a home or having kids. I have a good career too.
Meanwhile my boomer father wonders why I don't have my 2nd home yet lol

I've learned to just go with the flow. Things are pretty much the same for me. I spend more in groceries and utilities but my income taxes are cheaper so it evens out at the end of the year. My biggest expenses today didn't start with the current party.
