Some folks who work in social welfare have had entire programs cut, ended up having entire clinics/practices/outreach programs lose funding. Trying to help rehabilitate addicts and reduce recidivism after incarceration is a totally unnecessary service to this administration i guess (depending on the population it serves that is).
Anything non-billionaire is cut. Unless you’re a fetus. Once born, you’re fucked
Not an American - not going to comment on your government directly because not really my place, but what I will say as someone who travels to US
1) you pay way too much for food. Especially whole foods. Fuckers got you over a barrel. Most prosperous country on earth and food is priced as if it were a luxury
2) you pay way too much for healthcare & pharmaceuticals. Ridiculous. I get you love you insurance systems cause it means poor people might die quicker BUT atleast stop the insurers, providers & pharma working together to artificially inflate prices.
3) you have a really toxic culture around work-leave. It's good to work hard and amass some wealth but pointless if you don't take the time to enjoy it. Demand decent annual leave entitlements and actually fucking use them!
