Anyone else dribk their coffee and pet the dog to wake up?

I sit there in silence, drinking coffee, and pet the dog while we sit in the oversized chair together. It's how I wake up each morning, only peace I get in life anynore it seems. Am I a nutcase or does anyone else do this at 6am to wake up? Haha

I share this one...turning on the TV to catch the early morning news while drinking coffee just before I leave for work. Now thanks to COVID, I logon to the work computer when I wake up. This generally has been my normal morning routine for years.

But i'm a very routine person. Brew my coffee, enjoy the silence while the whole world is still asleep. I'm not a morning person at all, but that silence is so golden.

I wake up. Roll over. Say morning to the dog, go turn on the keurig, let her out to pee.

Start my coffee as I start dicing veggies and fruit for her breakfast, measuring out her oils. Give it to her. Grab my coffee then sit with her on the couch for a bit and browse the forums latest. Its a chill way to start the day. Shitty I miss out on it 2 weeks of the month

Not alone brother, wake up, take a piss, head out to kitchen and the dogs follow. Turn on coffee pot, pet the dogs and pit them outside. On cue almost when the pot is half brewed they want back in. Let them in, pour cup a coffee and they have already taken their spots on the couch. Sit down they put their heads on my lap. Every single day lol

Sounds normal to me. My dog wakes me at 4:30 am every morning. I workout at 5.
With mans best friend nothing else in life matters. They are just happy to see us.

Isn't it funny how a dogs mind clock works? They almost have it down to the minute!

I drink the coffee while driving, just a tradition. always done it that way in the cupholder. would be bored driving if I didn't have a. coffee, couldn't drink it at home.
