Anyone have keratosis on the back of their hands?

A few years ago during the summer, noticed some small bumps on the back of my hands with one having a bunch more. Went to doctor and she said it's keratosis caused from the sun. Said they are harmless and only way to eliminate them is by freezing them but that they'll come back.

I only get these during the summer, despite being outside all year. Anyone here have this? If so, does it ever go away?

I get them on my forearms in the Summer. Sometimes they itch, but usually I can't feel them. They just look bad. There's no consensus on what causes them, so your doc is feeding you bro science : )

Some believe they are caused by a fungus. I use antifungal cream like Miconazole when they start to itch. It works for me, and the raised areas flatten out and lose their dark color. They never quite go away though.

Thanks for the info. Sucks to hear it never goes away, definitely looks ugly.

Super easy to get rid of. Look up KP duty, stuff works Great. Use the scrub 2x per week and the lotion 2x per day, should be gone within a couple months

Although I just realized there may be a difference between keratosis and keratosis pilaris

Once mine turn white, they just look like age spots. Hardly noticeable, really. Don't know if the antifungal cream works for everyone, though.

Get them on the forearms as well from tine to time. Itch a bit, but never looked into them.

If it's a fungal things, just scrub up with Head / Shoulders medicated. Had a red blotchy spot in a few different places, was a fungal thing and cleared right up.

Dirt cheap.
