Are cycles longer than 6 weeks a waste?

Besides orals I wouldn’t bother taking anything for less than six weeks.

I feel like I get more sides from my body adjusting to what I’m taking. Personal preference.

I’d be pretty surprised if most users did such short cycles. Maybe switch some compounds but go off completely after six weeks? I doubt it.

I know personal experience has no scientific backing to it but take it for what it’s worth I guess... in my late teens (now 24) I was young and dumb (still am) and I liked to rave a lot so I would blast 200mg Test with 600mg+ Tren for a little over a whole year up until I turned 20 and my gains didn’t stop. Of course I slowed down drastically after the initial boost but my strength and size/conditioning kept getting better every week to every other week so imo I never plateaued. At the end of my year long blast I looked drastically different from the beginning of the cycle to where I was unrecognizable to family members I haven’t seen since pre roid use. Unfortunately I tore my pec early on in the cycle so my bench strength had to rebuild itself back up later on in the blast but I ended up getting 315 paused at late 19 for 2 when earlier in the year I tore my chest trying 315 for a Max using a bounce and no pause. I ended up weighing 180 lean but not shredded at 5’7. Squat ~400 rows ~ 275 for ugly 5 reps and maybe 2 clean reps. I matured a lot more now though and only do Trt ~200mg with hrt ~2iu gh and once in a while I blast 400mg Test, 600mg Mast with 4iu gh.
Edit: I accidentally hit post...anyway long story short I look better now using less than when I blasted a whole year even though my progress didn’t really stop. I feel like the year long blast gave me “permanent” size to where I only have to cruise now and I stay the same size with strength. Current weight roughly 200 pounds at 5’8 not as lean as before.

I couldn't tell ya haha. When I first got on I started with 300 gp sust a week. The pip was so bad I couldn't lift! I still have scarring from the injections! Then I switched to biomex test c and I was completely fine and I started working out again. After that it was mostly smooth sailing it's only a couple years later of straight blasting that I have hit a plateau.

Im not following you. What do you mean?
I believe he’s just trolling you based on how you type since it’s difficult to understand. My main language is English and it took me a couple read throughs to fully understand what you were trying to say lol. Improper punctuations etc but it’s not a big deal because it’s still readable.

edit: also wrong use of personal preference

Just watched this vid. What do you guys make of the information? What are your personal thoeries?

I think something Derek didn't take into consideration is the crazy ammount of water that you gain at the start of the cycle which shows up as lean body mass. The drop off after week 6 is likely because the lean tissue being gained is actual contractile mass instead of water weight

Test prop at 350mg/ew with some orals for 6-8weeks gives me pretty good gains. Also fast recovery and didn't need a PCT. I think this will change with age, recovery will be slower and PCT will be a must.

I have read and heard different things, some older guys have told me 6-8weeks on 6-8weeks off is the way to go.
But I've also heard and read that gains made 10-12+ weeks are easier to keep since 6-8weeks is a short time to build muscle.

For me growth stagnates usually around 6-8 weeks.

Hope more of you guys will talk about your experience and shed more light on this topic.

What does this have to do with 6 week cycles?

The title of the thread says are cycles LONGER than 6 weeks a waste... I said they are not a waste due to the fact I was still seeing progress and strength increases after the 6 week mark. It slowed down around the 10 week mark but I was still progressing.

It seems like people cycle for health reasons. Ive heard your ar number increases the longer you expose yourself to exogenous hormones and your myostatin gets lower over time as well. I mean the info you get on your run of the mill youtube channel or the like is bullshit. If you read between the lines about what pros do its completely different. Im not saying everyone should do what pros do cause ya might die or sustain permenant damage directly or inderectly but if you take the bulk of internet advice you will hit a ceiling eventually and be very confused.

Like you said, most of what is touted on free platforms, even these forums is bullshit.

A lot of people are just misinformed and spread that misinformation, others are in the know but of course prefer to line their own pockets with paid services.

A lot of these people also misinform the public to keep them from achieving anything substantial in terms of progress, to make them and their clients look “enlightened” and coercing people into their coaching services.

I've heard of people advocating shorter cycles, around 2-3 weeks. The theory behind why it would be superior kind of makes sense. I just don't know anyone who has personally cycled like that. Lol. Everyone I know does 8-16 weeks. Some even longer.
