I never understood what America was doing in the Middle East to help America. Seems like a lot of money was spent and a lot of Americans died. And to me, it's like for what?

Some of my friends were in Afghanistan and they thought it was a waste and there was no point in going there.

We don't have to have a back and forth however I am curious if you feel that your time spent there was worth the effort or not. And that has nothing to do with your personal performance there just a general statement would be appreciated.
 
From the pictures I have seen, the vast majority of the refugees flooding into Europe are young males, not families. I would welcome families, but NOT young males en mass. There are significant cultural hazards; specifically the accepted treatment of and lack of respect for women.

But if you want my honest opinion I really do not want any of them here this is just obama ploy to fundamentally change our country from the inside out.

Flenser, do you believe the pictures you are shown are skewed? Do you think they might take pictures mainly of men to keep the idea of do no let these Muslims into the country?

Families and children awake more sympathy than males...

I know a town in Bavaria where my employer has a business outlet has a bunch of refugees "housed" in the local gymnasium. They are about 95% male.

I do believe the pictures and videos are skewed, but not in the direction you are implying. I see a disproportionate number of families compared to individual males interviewed and discussed. I don't think this is a conspiracy, just normal left leaning journalism. The media reports I have seen have been very pro refugee.
 
I agree with the able bodied stay and fight. if the millions of people can't stand up against a regime to make their own country a better place then why should I feel great about them coming to America without a spine and increasing the spineless population we already have.

Also, after having to go through the whole process of immigrating a wife that I married when I was overseas, I'm not a big fan of those that come over illegally with no background at all. Send them back and have them formally appy. I bet most have never tried.

And

I really hate how america bends to appease all the foreign cultures languages ways etc coming here rather than assimilate them into our culture.

Meso assimilates and does not conform to the idiocracy of others to avoid confrontation. So i like it here.
 
If it were me, and I had the US, French, Russian, Iranian and assorted imported "freedom fighters" running around Virginia with a shit load of modern weapons and blowing up each other, homes, factories hospitals and weddings, I would get the hell out ASAP. I would take my family and run away.

How do you envision that they would fight? Go to the local armory and pick up a rocket launcher?

Keep in mind, France and Russia bombed the fucking place. Do you know how many innocent people died from that?
 
Im down for helping those in need no matter what race, religion, ethnicity, creed or whatever. But moving refugees to our country at this time is bullshit. We have veterans homeless on the streets, a bullshit welfare system, a failed and vanishing social security, a race war, a war on police, a commander in chief who is the biggest failure to our country since it was declared, an economic recession and the list goes on and on. I am a firefighter, I risk my life day after day for our people, have three jobs and still find it hard to pay my bills for the minimum. Why the fuck should I be happy about paying for these people to have homes and the "American Life?" I say take care of our own first. Now if it were about donating things to allow them to live, the women and children are welcome to the shirt on my back. Besides, there will be ISIS plants among these people, it comes with the culture. So lets have at it. Bring the war to our soil, I am ready. Our country is at it's weakest it has ever been. We are falling apart internally, imploading. Maybe a war on our soil will bring us back together again. FUCK A LIBERAL.... FUCK A COMMIE..... FUCK ISIS.... SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST MOTHER FUCKER.

I've lived in various parts of the middle east. This insular, sensationalist view of Islam that's being shoved down America's throat is just ridiculous. For the most part, these are hard working, well grounded, family oriented people we are talking about. They're a better example of American values than many Americans right now.

Frankly, I would be far happier having my son play with their kids than I would with the hood rats and fundamental Baptists that I currently share a street with. For the most part, they are more tolerant and better educated.

Hate begets hate people. Tread lightly, you are making the bed that your children must lay in. Islam is not the enemy here, fundamental extremism, from every faith, is the problem.
