At what age did you start TRT?

Currently in my early 30s.
Been having bloods since about 28.
In the course of 5 years I’ve seen a slight decline up until I started taking AAS.
2 cycles in and currently just a been short period post pct of second cycle. Yet to have bloods drawn. At what point would you consider undergoing TRT?
At 28 I believe my total T score was about 23-24 if memory serves.
Since then my last total T between my 2 cycles was around 16. I don’t feel any worse off though in all fairness.
Free T is usually lower as shbg is high so I take boron to help bring it back down.
As for fertility I have 1 with another inbound,
So not fussed on that front.
Can anyone share their own experience on when they felt the need to go down the TRT route?
For the record I do intend to run a cycle once yearly if health markers and other things permit.

Any input greatly appreciated.

Thanks all

The TRT decision is a personal one. For me, TRT made sense when my natural T levels were lower than the normal range AND I had symptoms of low T such as lack of energy, weight gain, lower libido, etc. I started in my early 40's but everyone is different. Just remember its forever once you start and you must also consider reproduction issues if you have those goals (I was already done having my kids).

Others may decide to TRt even if they are within the normal range but want to be at or near the high end (or often times above). Again, personal decision but all ramifications should be carefully considered.

I was 40 with some symptoms, strength diminishing some, weight gain starting. And my T levels were were in the bottom 10% of the normal range. Things were not likely to get better on their own.

I wonder why this happens, men with naturally low levels of testosterone within the reference range, without other underlying diseases and leading a normal life. I've seen guys who are muscular with levels around 400 doing just fine though.

I started at 31, I had low T symptoms (low energy, low sex drive, horrible erections, depression..).

Got my levels tested (along other health markers) and they were on the 400s ng/dL so I decided to start with testosterone.

Although every person is different, for me it was very clear to start considering my low levels. Now I feel much more energetic, got my erections back and I have a more positive view of life.

It’s good to hear you’ve greatly improved your outlet.

40. I should have started over a decade ago, if not childhood, but it was only recently I began realizing my natural state was symptomatic of something that wasn't just the usual depression. Turned out I have some rare form of insensitivity syndrome causing my natural T total to crest over 1600 and E2 to be in the 70s while being virtually infertile.

Genetic disorder by all accounts, so who knows what life would have been like had this been diagnosed as a child.

Why are some guys taller than others? Genetics. Those those are born with more or longer muscle fibers can be more muscular all things being equal. How well a person eats and digest and assimilates food plays a huge part i find. Same with rest. An not all have the same free T levels even if their total T is the same. And many/most don't really push themselves hard i find either so they will have less muscle even though they may think they are training hard. Till one takes things to the next level or the level after that they don't know there is one. Mix that all together and people end up different.

After 19 years of natty lifting and delaying the juice mostly because i wanted to know if have kids or not (better safe than sorry), i made the decision to pull the trigger at 35, after deciding i won't be doing kids and basically i'm planning to blast and trt.

I have enclomephine nolva and hcg in hand in case of emergency but i'm not seeing going back. My total test levels prior was 650ng/dl which is good enough for my age considering i was permabulk with 30% bf for many years, but i don't see any point and any health benefits to pct when you plan on doing multiple cycles.

This sort of mirrors myself.. I am 34 very soon.
I have trained naturally most of my life.
I boxed from 11/12 up to 27. This meant refraining from eating massive amounts of food for any extended periods.
So you could say that I never really got to make the best use of my best years of natty test levels.
Naturally when lean (13-14%) sat at about 85kg and boxed just below that.
Now after starting gear use at 32 I am contemplating self trt’ing and blasting in between.
I believe it’s the right time. I however have children though and I am hoping not to have anymore anyway.

31yo low t 2-4nmol total t.

never touch peds prior or any crap. but whats it done for me has been nothing short of amazing plus i can have cycle pushes inbetween seeing the DR.
