You've got to love webMD and google....they turn everyone into "scientists". What you are referring to is a sedentary person in the presence of their own endogenous B12 production. That's not me, nor is it most of the people on this site. the body will always strive for homeostasis. So, when it produces Xmcg/day, it will roughly use X-Ymcg/day. When you introduce supraphysiological levels of almost anything, adjustments occur, and the body reacts. The body can and does utilize well above the basal levels of endogenous B12 if supplied adequate sources. You don't even have to understand it at a very deep level to realize that you feel different when shooting up B12. If your body's needs have already been satisfied by endogenous B12, the exogenous B12 would have no effects and would "pass through". However, your body does utilize much of the exogenous B12, as evidenced by the change in appetite and energy. My point is....you don't know how much the body CAN use, despite endless google searches. I don't know how much it can use either, but it is far more than it normally produces.Southernjuice said:I can guarantee you i do feel the same effects.....I am aware that people use it to "cut" their gear so in that instance go for it. You have no point.....I do have an idea....The body secretes 5-7mcgs a day for it's use and REabsorbs most of this. An adult requires approx. 2mcgs a day.Your liver stores approx 3000mcgs and it would take an adult 3 years without b12 production to use up the stored b12 and start to show signs of anemia. If you are at your storage capacity and producing b12 which is a vitamin then it does'nt take a genious to know where the extra goes......(FLUSH)
This is a cheap shot, but the irony of mispelling "genious" is too much to pass up.
