Bad gear and/or injection site infection

Hey guys,

Long story short I plan on starting my cycle in about a month or so: 250 test E (250 mg/ml) E3D. I’m on TRT and wanted to sample the gear I before the cycle started. That’s when things started to go down hill. Here’s what will help you get a better picture of what’s going on:

  • I planned to pin the while ml, but only got .7 way through because it stung pretty bad the second the needle hit my skin.

  • Right after the injection, there was a quarter sized red lump.

  • lump grew and stung the the whole day until it doubled in sized about 12 hours later.

  • no more stinging now on its own except when touched.

  • it’s hard to the touch, still red, slightly warm, and about x3-4 original size.

  • It was a SubQ pin. Now I realize it wasn’t the best move, but I’ve done more than a ml of my test C subQ problem free and been doing subQ for about 8 months with TRT

  • injection was in the top of thigh fat

  • I cleaned everything like usual with alcohol
wipes except the vial head, again bad move.

  • slight fever at 99.4 Fahrenheit 12 hours after pin and fever like symptoms half way through Thursday

  • I’ve been around sick people all week at home and at work so it’s hard to say where that came from

  • I self aspirated friday morning, 2 days after but it was just blood that came out. I may try again tomorrow hoping to get some oil.

  • picks above are taken this Friday morning

  • the dark/black you see on it is from a marker used to mark how much it grows
I went to the doctor and got antibiotics. The gear is obviously UGL grade. The main thing I’m concerned with is why it stung so bad right away, and why it’s so damn hard to the tough. Permanent scar tissue definitely suck. The stinging could be due to the BA content, or the high concentration of test, but it was unlike anything I heard of happening or experienced before.

Any inputs or thoughts would be much appreciated, I’m not sure if I got a injection site infection, the gear it’s self was contaminated, or I just unknowingly shot myself with synthol… please god not the last one…

What's your question? You are under the care of an MD, and on antibiotics, it will go away.

I more so want to know if this sounds like bad/infected gear
Looking at those pics and reading the symptoms you've described I would think its an,infection, I never do any subq injections so maybe its a weird reaction from the solvents or carrier oil that may be different than your trt from what you are used to. Is there EO in it, maybe you're allergic to one of those things. If it was me id prob scrap it and find something else. It,Fuckin sucks to eat the cost of a planned cycle but it definately happens. I just recently dropped 450 dollars on europharm oils to find out the test was maybe 50% hormone.

SubQ or Intramuscular doesn’t matter. If it’s bad gear, you will get an infection either way. Hearing you didn’t properly prepare for injection immediately voids fault of the source.

Also I’m unaware of this source but if they are not verified on SST or a legitimate forum, I wouldn’t buy from them.

Subq can cause this. AAS Oils are meant for IM injection. Shallow injections can irritate the fatty layer of tissue just below the skin and lead to cellulitis. Your gear might also be contaminated. Always ensure proper handling and sterilization etiquette. Never take chances. I speak from experience.

@asinwill seeing how you are already on antibiotics a simple way to tell if the gear is bad is to do a tiny sub q injection on a different body part. I am talking like 2/3 tics on a slin pin small.
I was under the impression IP was okay gear.
I am gonna go read adnanasants thread again.

I get instant stinging if the alcohol on the skin isn’t dry before pinning or if I put the pin through a blood vessel. I know if I went through a vessel if blood squirts lime a fire hose when I pull the pin out. Happens pretty often.

Either way, your situation is pretty sucky. Sorry that happened. Always always always clean skin and stopper first.

Why would you recommend that? Its not worth it. Even though he is on antibiotics, it's possible to get worse and need to be on stronger or even IV antibiotics.

Yeah it’s impossible to tell at this point because like you guys said there could have been tons of reasons for the stinging and reaction. Tbh it was only a 40 dollar vial so I’ll just scrap it abd do things differently next time. @puckhog i had the same idea except to test the opiox (the test I’ll identify for the majority of my cycle) with a small sub q pin and it went well. No pain, no swelling, no redness.

It’s probably best to just put this in the shit happens category, I just don’t want a scare tissue buildup. I’ve been hot padding it quite a bit. Any other suggestions?

Wait what?
SubQ or IM DOES matter. It matters because it requires an extremely small amount of gear to produce a strong reaction like the OP has for SubQ injections. If OP would have injected the 0.7ml his reaction would have been a lot less severe and he probably wouldn't have posted here. Try injecting 3ml into your SubQ fat and you will see what I mean.

What do you mean that "if it is bad gear you will get an infection either way?" That isn't true either, what are you referring to when you say bad gear? If you include 2% BA in your brew the bacteria will die.

For the OP, it's PIP. Seen way too many of these posts throughout the years.
