Yeah, so I know it ain't much to Meso standards. Just dropping it here, so I can hopefully improve in the future and not get lazy.

I guess it's a semi decent form, but I believe some ppl will laugh at that BB bounce from chest on bench and rightly so.

So yeah, criticism is welcomed I guess. Lots to improve, I just always wanted to hit that 200kg bench press even if it wasn't so clean lol.

Bench:
25+25+25+25+20+20+10+10+5+5+5+5+20(BB) = 200kg (440lbs)

Shoulder press:
25+25+10+10+10+10+5+5+20(BB)=120kg (265lbs)

I thought the bench looked pretty clean compared to what I thought I was gonna see after reading the post.
I suck at benching, so grain of salt here.. but it looked like you weren’t really “tight” before starting the press. Lots of wiggling and maybe even some re-bracing?

OHP looked solid. One thing that helped me for OHP was locking my legs out hard and flexing the absolute fuck out of my quads and glutes. Made a big difference for me.

Thanks man, I was paranoid and I had no spotter as skinny twinks around would have killed me and themselves in the process lol...

Probably that's why I rushed that bench and it was awkward af.

I guess the part where I bounced the barbell and there was a pause, I though shit if I don't get this barbell back in it's place I'll be dead. Though I had safety bars set up, but I don't rly trust them if you know what I'm saying.

I guess I'll try to use legs and glutes more next time for ohp as you suggest.

Anayway ty man for your insight!

Nice one bud - looked fine to me and like there was another 5kg in that bench. You look to have put on a lot of strength since I was last on here!! What have you been doing differently - have you been following a specific bench programme, put bodyweight on, running different compounds?

Thanks man, the only thing that really changed is that I keep it simple and use high Testosterone and sometimes throw in orals like anavar and I prioritize diet and eat high cals, but also quality food. I put on like 15 pounds or ~7kg in total, yeah some body fat, before I was like 12-13% and now 16-18% like in my avi.

I prioritize bench press and and pressing in general, I do bench press like 2-3 times per week and try to do more volume and in the end get few reps with sub maximal weights. I do db presses and machines and sometimes max out on dips. I find it helps a lot with increasing overall pushing power. I do body weight training and swimming as cardio. So nothing revolutionary again just simple things I guess.

I also find I'm creatine hyper responder when I increased the dose to 10-15g per day, I feel creatine benefits much more than before.

Do you find you are getting benefit from doing barbell shoulder press onto your bench press? Crown has started doing them for this reason if you are following the 523 Barbell press Goal that he has started doing - I am wondering whether to start incorporating them after a bench workout.

Yeah, I sure do find it helps. I also think all of the combination with BB, DB, machines and body weight work synergistically and help progress big lifts like bench. I used to be the type of person who selects one style/type of training and progresses there solely, but I truly found out that for me combining everything together works really well. I just love doing something and sitting around doing nothing is killing me. So I make sure to physically exercise every day even if it's something light like walking in the forest or swimming in the lake. Holly hell, I can't imagine going to 500+, I'll check his stuff for sure. I mean here we go by kilos (kg) and 200 is that almighty number that everyone chases who's serious about lifting, so it's been goal of mine too, yeah if I lived in the US and by imperial units system I'd want to go for 500lbs lol, as it sounds so powerful. I think you're stronger than I am if I remember correctly so yeah, I think you know what works for you better already. But it's cool to discuss and share ideas, I like it a lot, only thing that we must accept to progress is to never stop learning even if we think we know it all lol.

Yeah ya see its funny pal as for bench progression I have always just literally stuck with training bench, 1 to 4 reps often just singles at times. I use to think this is the way forward but I am learning that really a lot of it is simply gaining more muscle and mass. How many guys have you seen where they have put 20lb's on and a tonne of strength to their bench? They aren't running any specific programme or strength cycles, they are just eating more and hitting it week in week out. I am only a little stronger than you now though mate!! My best is 210kg about 4 years ago now, however it was mainly reached on just using high Tren and relying on that rather than proper growth from added mass etc. I have had a few shoulder tendon tweeks here and there and minor pec tear which has caused set backs and does stick in your mind when you are going for the big lifts again, but you just have to get on with it ultimately. If the injury is going to happen its going to happen - hell I've seen guys take pecs fully off the shoulder with just 275. Thing is bud is in the this game you always want more LOL You get the 150kg then you want the 160kg, then the 180kg and then the 200kg. For me the ultimate would be 220kg with 5 twenties on either end of the bar, nothing looks more superhuman and impressive than that. I think the last time I was on here you were around 165kg or similar so you have done REALLY well since then pal getting to 200kg, 4 and a half plates a side is some serious shit!!

You can never stop learning mate, I'm always trying to pick up new ideas that may help my goals. Thats something I don't get exposed to really as I don't train in a proper powerlifting gym where everyone is sharing knowledge about things they have found has worked for them.

Means a lot man, thanks! You're a pro when it comes to strength, def gonna watch your log.

Yeah, I used to think so too when I wanted to progress bench press. It's when I started doing more of the other exercises and put in some time in to it then it happened, I actually started to not even care for the number and then after some time off, I decided to try again and this time it went better than I ever expected. You know those 10kg's are everything when we talk about one rep max lol. I agree injuries suck and you have to be real careful, but on the other hand with mistakes comes experience. I think you'll get it eventually, you have that drive it's just a matter of time. In the end we are all different and we have to find what works for us and our body and mind.
