I was thinking that on sunday. I worked myself up to a hysterical rage as i gripping the bar and grunting and preparing for an all out assault.

I have to rest my feet up off the floor, on the end of the bench, with bent knees. Absolutely NO other way With my back being fused from T-12 to S-1. My back has a better than average curve to it from the fusion, so if I don't keep my feet up on the bench, it puts way to much pressure on the fusion. Declines are just a complete disaster! I have to do the same, but a spotter has to fold my feet on the bench, just so I don't slide down the bench. I'm not sure what I am at for a personal best, because after the major fusion in 2005, I couldn't do anything over their bar weight for years to keep from busting the fusion. I originally had a bar on each side of my Vertebrae, with 4 Pedical Screws and Titanium Spacers (I think that's what it's made of) for support. After having it this way for a few years, we had to remove all the metal hardware, except the spacers where my disc's were. It did help with the pain, but also didn't feel like I was welded solid and unable to bend at all.

What yall think the equivalent of 405 Incline to flat bench? Just curious of what you guys think. 475o_O...maybe.

I think it depends how much you train it. Dude I lift with hits flat and incline the same, 315 for sets of 20 on both.

Yeah, going to be a task having to lift like that. To lift big gotta drive with everything you got including legs. Sometimes after a bench session my Lats and ass and abs are sore It's crazy.
 
I've enjoyed working out since high school, was just recreational only till 5 yrs. ago, I cared more about meth, alcohol, crack, oxycontin, weed, extacy, Molly, painkillers, and others.

now fitness first, no drugs.
Took you long enough... Just kidding man! Seems a lot of people doing this came from similar backgrounds, at least you found a healthy addiction like the rest of us. Well a lot healthier if you're doing things right anyway.
 
@benchyourmom I do have to keep my head on straight with what I will be able to accomplish with my back. I have to continue to look at the big picture. My over all health, core strength to support my back and not even thinking I can be as big as many other members on Meso. My girl is big in to cross fit and it's embarrassing shit having to come home in the same car with her and getting flamed by her all night as well:oops:. This thread is pure motivation, along with a few other threads I follow. I try to pick up little tips reading @mghoward74 and some others to maybe get just that little bit more of an edge. I've been picking the brain of a few very generous members here who have been helping me with what seems so simple to some, but damn near impossible for me. Not having a regular partner like I used to have at the gym does slow my progress. Declines are impossible without a spotter keeping me in place.

Your name says it all brother "geterdun"! Sometimes having to work harder makes it all the sweeter when you smash your goals. I have 4 hurniated discs in my back, damn near all my lowers l2,4,5,and 6 are crumbling. I feel your pain... I'm so glad I never went the fusion route. Last blow out I really contiplated it, it took me 3 months to be able to walk for more than 20 feet without having to kneel down to release the pressure off the syatic. I lost feeling in the back of my right leg from lower back to toes, couldn't feel my dick or ass. Scary shit! That's when I started hitting the gym. Lost weight and tightened the core now I rarely have a blow out and if I do it's weight lifting induced... Just hit a PR deadlifts 545 for 3 with a numb leg. I did get the feeling back in my ass and dick but still numb from hamstring to toes on right leg.

I can't even think of squatting at this point. My best PR squatting is every morning when I squat down to sit on the terlet to shit. Fuck I couldn't imagine heavy weights on my back right now, or ever. :( Trukk, that AVI creeps me the fuck out!!!
