Best filter too setup to buy?

So about how much would just the basic startup with handpump and accessories set someone back?
Buchner filter setup (ebay) $60, 100 .22 filter membranes (ebay/amazon) $30, hand pump=$30 or 2.5 cfm vacuum pump ebay ($50) or 2 cfm vacuum pump (harbor frieght with online coupon) $77 after tax, tubing and fittings $5. If you ise dry heat with an oven foil $3, 70% alcohol $2, distilled water $1, if you purchase an autoclave $200-$2500 depending what you buy. Knowing that your gear is sterile and the amount of solvents being used=priceless.

Well if your just starting out I think the sterile disposable ones, which are cheaper, is the path to go. Eliminates a step which is VERY important that can be easily messed up. Sterilizing.
Let this practice come after your comfortable with the process. I would even suggest sterile vials as well.

It's a starter kit. Get your feet wet. I'll put together a price list.

That is a good point although make sure when you buy the sterile vials make sure they are sterilized in an autoclave and not just heat steralized. I know ebay has 20ml sterile vials pretty cheap. And med lab supply will sell a single fox autofil

I think I payed 160$ plus the 77$ for the pump from harbor freight, still need to get hose and fittings so I'm at about 275$ total. So far I have gotten
Vacuum pump
2x .22 whatman bottle top fileters
2x 100ml hybex media bottles
Beaker set 5-500ml
10x 60ml syringe
2 .22 syringe filters
25 sterile sealed 10ml vials
2 sterile 50ml vial
Thermometer
Caviwipes(kills shit)
Scale that measures grams-milligrams
100ml BB
100ml BA
100ml EO
100ml GSO
448ml MCT

This is everything I can think of right now. I also get mask and gloves from work and pippettes to measure things with. I picked up some high temp BBQ gloves in case I have to move hot glass around. I have high temp bags with a filter patch that can be sealed and run through a pressure cooker and that's how I plan to get my glass as close to sterile as possible. Might want to consider goggles too if you work with things that can be an irritant.

I'd skip to hand pump. Their cheaper. Not me check if you think about it. Their $50.00 but have a gauge too.

Nylon Autofil or any millipore should be fine.
Do you have to use the proprietary autofil attachment or will standard tubing work?
