Jruiz bfr has been around for a bit from the litle bit I have read and I know layne norton is into it, I first saw it on bios3 i think he goes by on youtube, That jerry guy. It looks interesting but I just haven't take quality time into looking into it.no one uses bloodflow restriction ???? So bfr is stated reduces myostatin concetrations and creates an anabolic effect thru activated fast twitch fibers which have the most potential for muscle growth. It'll be a suppplement that I'm going to try on todays workout.
I have not spent any time into looking into it really just found it interesting and on the look into list. What down sides have you found?I have read about this but don't know anyone who has actually tried it... There are downsides, and personally I would never bother.... But I'm curious to see how it goes and your take on it.... So let us know....

Looks like you should restrict 3 sets only of either arms, calves, thighs, and forearms. They say if it's not hurting like hell the wraps are not tight enough. 70% max pressure is what is recommended for pressure. I was looking at a study earlier that resulted in bfr training creating 290 times more of GH than at baseline heavy weight training. But it does state that in no way should bfr training replace heavyweight training only supplement your training . But will keep you guys posted.
I read that if it hurts that they are too tight.... You definitely don't want to completely cut off the flow, that can be dangerous... So be careful and make sure your not wrapping too tightly.. I agree that it can't replace heavy training, but it may be beneficial to supplement, like you said. For lagging body parts it can help I read.. I'm interested to see how it turns out...
some guys where I train use a method almost the same but instead after they train they use the bands to constrict the blood flow then they release after some pumping and stretching as to clean out the waist, broke down fragments and a host of other things with the surge in flow after the release of the bands.
One question, how painful was it.
I'll have to take a look into this.
It's an interesting Premise, I like it, thanks for the post...................JP
I was checking a couple of Video's out on Youtube. It was slightly painful but it was a good pain you know what I mean . It was a rush and instant pump for me brother!
I tried it yesterday with Legs. I watched the Video. I used a Stretch band with Velcro. Big difference, got a great Pump, and still feel the pump, and it's been over 12 hrs.My pleasure brother, hope you like it as I do!
Speaking of the Devil, I just finished Arms. My arms are shaking while I'm trying to type. I like that, haven't had this kind of pump in years, It's Sweet.Right on brother, the pump lasted for me as well! Matter fact I'm still sore on my arms:thumbup:
