Bigger guys, your preferred method of concealed carry?

I'm curious what some of the bigger guys on here do for concealed carry. Meaning what style holster/system not what gun. Especially since a lot of us are always in gym pants vs jeans and a belt.

I usually stick to a regular kydex holster with an ulticlip and tie my pants tighter

I love crossbreed, strongside just past hip, slight cant. And,or pocket carry with a Desantis pocket holster. Appendix carry with a small crossbreed, flat auto is the shit. For a Bug, a Derringer in a wallet holster. Not too mention a knife or two.

I use an ankle holster, and/or owb for winter months. Iwb for warmer weather. Usually carry my Ruger ec9s, it's light and accurate up to about 12 yards.

Appendix IWB kydex by Mckinatec. Has two large hooks and a claw for the waistband. They were the first to make one for my gun, if I bought again it would be T1R or Trex Arms just because removing the second mag on their platform is easier.

So long as I’m not running anywhere a tied drawstring keeps it up decent. I also have a Fanny pack designed for concealed carry when that makes more sense. Generally just tru to wear clothes that fit carrying when I can. On the way to the gym is in a bag close to me anyways and at a minimum i usually have a bag for meals on me so a few options.

I'll look into that. I've never been able to make appendix work for me and I think it's partly due to an anterior tilt with my pelvis, makes it fit really weird there so I always do 4 o clock

That will def make it harder. Tbh it’s a great reminder for good posture lol.

Mac, do you find it more comfortable to have that set up vs just the gun and not the spare mag part?

It actually is more comfy with more surface area on the belt/skin. I prefer carrying + a spare mag. But isn’t always appropriate weight wise.

I just pocket carry. I’m really not that big of a guy but before I leave the house I just throw a Ruger LCP in my pocket.

Owb alien gear holster with my Smith 9mm shield, if I’m wearing gym pants or shorts I just sinch up the belt around the waist and carry the same as if I had jeans and belt loops. I have a kydex holster I’ll use if I’m carrying my Canik 9mm subcompact but that gun doesn’t feel as comfortable on me as the Smith Shield does. I know everyone is going double stack mags lately in their sub compacts but the width and the weight is just something I have yet to get used to.

I carry Glock 43 or 19 depending on weather and how I’m feeling. The 43 is preferable as it has smaller size and is much lighter, always appendix carry and use a Kydex IWB holster with an additional mag.

Sweatshirt. Sometimes a long sleeve t-shirt will do the trick if I layer it with a short sleeve.

I go from appendix to 5 o clock depending on what kind of shirt i wear. I don’t have a set place to carry. It all depends and i have a drawer full of different holsters to choose from. My favorite 5 o clock is my crossbreed holster. And appendix is a tie between my tier 1 it’s a little bulky with the spare mag holder and my black point tactical which is just a holster no spare mag holder for more conceal ability.
