People can't drive for shit, around here,
So no more bikes, for me..,

Maybe if I was out west, with
Some open road, where marijuana is legal,
And people are more laid back..

Besides my 2 CR250s, I only
Had 1 bike.. Ninja 600R in California,
And it was fun..

I watched a Genesis make a brand new BMW
Look like a station wagon, just last week [:o)]

A genesis ???
Hyundai ...

And I could hear the Genesis bad
As hell all the way down the road...

I was in my 2003 Toyota Camry and even though
I am pushing out 165HP, I kept back..

I didn't want to embarrass the
Hennessy Venom 2000TT next to me

Had 97 cbr 600 and 02 gixxer1000. Got cut off in 2010 by uninsured skell in a scap metal truck. Fucked up my knee, neck, and back. Had to sue my own ins company to get compensation. Only had a $25k policy and the lawyer took 1/3. Moral of the story? Get your insurance up!
I really missed the bike, but went a different route and bought a used KLR650. It's a turd for power, but fun and I don't have to worry about messing it up. Hop curbs, ride it through dirt, and park it and not worried about someone damaging/stealing it. Someday, when finances permit, I'd like to get a supermoto. :offtopic:

Dang didn't realize there were so many riders here! My first street bike was an 08 gsxrsixxer which was my favorite, then got a 08 zx10(what a monster) and my last bike I just sold 2 months ago was a 2009 CBR600. Definitely preferred the 600's for the agile feeling and lighter feeling on the track and in the canyons. I worked at a dealership so I've ridden just about every bike out there:) Also, raced motocross since I could walk, had them all as well but only have my 08 yz250 2smoker as I left for school and sold everything! Miss riding!:o

If you thought the 08 zx-10 was a monster. The 04 the 1st zx-10 was the best zx-10 ever made. That bike was a monster in a class by itself. But I still loved the way my04 R1 felt. It was a sweet bike. Not as strong as the zx-10 or the gixxer down low but top end would destroy both of those bitches. Plus it looked better IMO

I can only imagine, the 08 ninjas had the the highest output of the zx's to that date IIRC. My zx, I could pop it up in 3rd with almost no effort. Ninjas are ugly bikes but they rip, newer ones are sick! I never felt "right" on the R1's or R6's but they definitely rip up top for sure!

Yeah the zx10 would pop in 3rd with little to know effort. I would have to give my R1 a little more twist in 3rd than the 10. I am too old for that shit now. I still ride my busa but I dont do all that crazy shit anymore. Its about cruising and looking good now.

I got a 87 kawasaki 454 laid back king queen seat.
its not fast but it cruzes all day long. ;)
Nothin like riden and flexin with a cut off shirt []==[]

I've been around AAS for a few years, but I'm new to the boards. Is the fact that a domestic source requires referrals generally a good sign? Should one be wary of online sources that sell to any random fuck with a credit card?

Any military ( former ) in this place?

Only if you consider U.S. Marines to fill the bill!. I often find myself in a semantical quandry about the use of the term "former" in regard to WarFighters of the U.S. Marine Corps. We have been taught that "Once a Marine..Always a Marine" I truly ask myself about the facts regarding this ages old axiom,But I,and I suspect, many others, feel something more akin to the "active duty phase" or perhaps the flip-side of that being "the post-active duty phase" We Marines are often quite touchy in regard to such distinctions. A little off-topic but Ill offer an amusing story if I may: A member of the German High Command is said to have asked one of his colleagues after being soundly thrashed by the U.S. Marine Corps during the 1918 Battle of Belleau Wood."Wer sind diese Teufelshunde?!" translated as "who ARE these Devil Dogs?." I once had relations with a female who I later overheard remarking to her sister after being BITTEN one night ,not knowing who we were, saying something to the effect "who the hell ARE these guys!" I apologize for waxing at such length but I get a little nostalgic sometimes about my Corps.
