Blood Pressure Significantly High In Right Arm?

Been taking my BP regularly and since I bought this at home monitor and recently since I’ve bought it my right arm has been a lot higher than my left whenever I test. I do cardio daily, take cialis and don’t eat horribly so I don’t understand the cause of this. Maybe I’m just testing it wrong? In the past I’ve noticed that I’d be unconsciously flexing a muscle in my arm when taking it whenever I was able to unflex it it would go down but every time I take it on my right arm it seems to happen. Any thoughts?

Go see a doctor/cardiologist, if you are taking your BP in the same method both ams and have that large a difference it is possible you have a arterial blockage..

Your heart rate changed quite a bit in that short interval. Heart rate effects BP i find. what made it change so much? And you have both your your arms in the same position when testing. Being tense will change things a lot. Take it 3 times and average it out. any 1 test really doesn't mean much. How is it through out the day?

Best to see a doctor

Could be faulty machine, could be more serious

Only a check up will tell

Don’t wait’, that’s my only advice

Also the left arm is closer to the heart, not sure if that matters but usually a doctor would take the left arm reading.

What?

Get a second monitor if you can afford it. I use an Omron wrist monitor and arm monitor. Take bp from both sides with both devices multiple times. There can be differences between the monitors and sides so using a five measure system with both monitors and each side is best. Take each reading within thirty seconds of the last. Throw out the highest and lowest reading of each fiveplex group average the remaining three and compare the readings between each monitor and side. Do this for at least three days at least three times a day. If there is still a major difference between left and right averages after three days go to the doctor.
