Blood Results

Looking for advice on how to improve numbers moving forward.

40 y/o male, finished test 500 mg/deca 400 mg at the end of August. Currently blasting test 500 mg. Planning on dropping test dosage (just was making great progress) to 250 mg/week. Also, been on Losartan since early 20s. A gift from my parents. BP was 124/84.

HCT 52.5 (max normal is 51)
AST 50 (max normal is 40)
ALT 55 (max normal is 44)
LDL 125 (max normal is 99)

Again, any advice on how to improve my numbers would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly wouldnt be too worried about those numbers all things considered.

Crit being a bit high can be a hydration thing, and worst case schenario can be alleviated with some time off or at low dosages and donating blood.

Liver values are barely elevated, a bit of alcohol or just asprin a few times over the last week could result in that, or nothing at all. I wouldnt even sweat over them, true liver stress has values in the several hundred.

LDL isnt bad at all for coming off a big blast and at your age, if youre really worried about it just taking some time on a cruise might be all you need to get that back down closer to reference range.

All in all i wouldnt be concerned

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate the feedback. Definitely feeling better after reading your responses. You hit 40 and you start looking at these markers a little more seriously. This is the best I have felt in years and I want to make sure the inside match how I feel on the outside.

Those numbers aren't bad at all considering current dosage. If you lower test dose HCT and LDL the should come down as well. I have had an unfavorable lipid profile most of my life and have found the following to be the most helpful:

- As much cardio is time and energy will allow consistently
- lots of fiber from fruits and vegetables
- trying to keep fat intake from healthy fats like olive oil, avocado oil, natural animal fat, things like that
- psyllium husk. Once I added this I notice my lipids stay better even on doses above TRT

For what my anecdote is worth, my HDL went up slightly and my LDL dropped from 2.85mmol/l to 1.9mmol/l in 8 months, despite taking more testosterone.

Biggest thing I did differently was eat more fruit, vegetables, oats, and lentils. Especially the lentils.

Bile/cholesterol gets carried out of your body through the digestive system by fiber. From what I've read, especially soluble fiber is good for lowering cholesterol. When bile gets removed from your body, your body has to use cholesterol to make more lowering your blood levels.

Definitely going to try the psyllium husk. I've used the powder years ago and completely disliked the consistency of it when mixed with water. Going to try the capsules this time. Definitely need to incorporate more veggies. Really been relying on my Orange Triad+greens to stay balanced.

I appreciate everyone's input.

I mix my psyllium husk into the grapefruit juice, creatine, arginine, citrulline concoction i drink every day.

The whole thing tasted shit without the psyllium husk. With the psyllium husk it has the taste and texture of actual vomit.

I’m no expert, but I’ve heard you want 5-10g of it a day, which is gonna be a lot of capsules.
