Bodybuilder Moves to Thailand for Cheap Gear, Gets Necrosis from Dirty Gear, Starts GoFundMe

It does not look like they are friends anymore.

Dan the Bodybuilder in Thailand apparently said he used IASuperpharma.

Josh from Enhanced Arsenal said he didn't.

IASuperpharma said Dan has failed to provide evidence he used their products.

The reference listed by Millard is one everyone who is using PEDs should read.

It emphasizes the consequences of irresponsible PED use, in this case an infection that was neglected.

Dans neglect faciliteted an extension of the infectious process into other fascial planes and was the proximate cause of myonecrosis,

And neglectful behavior of this magnitude is not consistent with that of a mature adult

Hoow long did Dan sat on this infection, I doubt we’ll never know

If that reference is to be believed, it was as early as August...

Well there you have it folks. You may not need to run to the hospital every time you have some pip, but once you got infection and or an abscess go get some help. Sometimes you got to fess up when you mess up

Of course, this information comes from an IASuperpharma marketing guy trying to discredit Dan. It doesn't mean it's not true but...

Out of curiosity, has any gear you ever sent off for testing come back positive for bacteria?
There are numerous ways to fuck up a vial of steroids, but bacteria seems like the most unlikely.

Viral contamination is also a possibility and I am sure that is also tested for. Samples that come back clean of viral/bacterial or other impurities show that the maker took great care to prepare the product.

Really? or is it just the BB and BA doing what they do and killing bacteria?

The BB/BA should definitely kill bacteria and viruses but if not properly prepared some might slip in.
Actually, BA doesn't kill bacteria or viruses
it merely prevents existing bacteria from growing or reproducing.
Once in the body, any existing bacteria will continue to grow.
Reason why BA is never a substitute for sterile filtering.

Necrosis (black stuff )and granulation tissue (brown discoloration of wound edges) formation is clearly seen in this photoand is a sign of a CHRONIC infection.

Crap like this is rare when infectious complications are managed in a responsible and timely manner.

Cases of this nature typically begins with early abscess formation that is inadequately treated w PO antibiotics
for weeks to months,

Antibiotic resistance subsequently occurs
w the infection advancing thru fascial planes and the feeds on highly vascularizrd muscle tissue.

If allowed to fester longer the PUS dissects around the involved muscular compartments necessitatating a LARGE
incision.

Large incisions are needed to excise devitalized tissue and allow adequate exposure to irrigate and remove any remaining bacterial and inflammatory products.

To that end IF this was an UGL infectious
complication, at the very least Dan is/was joint and severally liable for his injury/disability

Jim

IMO he’s liable regardless. We accept the risk.

And he is obviously incapable of managing the risk he knowingly or unknowingly accepted (as you say, a sure sign of immaturity).

He seems, so he says, to be out of the woods after successful surgery. Whether this was a scam or not (if it is, an extremely well orchestrated one given his continued posts from a hospital bed) it should be a lesson. We’re self administering drugs but we are not doctors (well, most of us) or above basic bodily function. This stuff can kill you.

He is surely going to have a lot of heavy scarring that's for sure not to mention missing muscle.

While viruses certainly can transmit
communicable diseases, they do NOT result in the type of local complication seen on this thread unless a bacterial co-infection is also present.
