Also, and this depends on the girl, musculature, fat %, type of physical activities - *where* you place it is critical. On top of muscles, or under? There might even be three different installation options? Anyway, muscle mass and body fat level makes a big difference AFAIK when it comes to picking the right method.

Then there's also the insertion point - armpit for example. I think all silicone boobies are prefilled so options are more limited. Saline can be site filled so can be installed less intrusively.

You are correct that I DO have them. They are posted here somewhere and some even seen my actual certificate as they didn't believe my 535cc size in each as I have a small frame. (yes, that's 1,070mls in gear for comparison in both) I do have the silicone which are actually cohesive gel aka gummy bear ultra high profile (again due to my small frame and I wanted the porn star look of fullness rather than having side boobs hanging).

gummy bear implant is actually a nickname for cohesive gel implant due to the nature that it will not break, leak or need replacements. If it rips, although a super duper low chance of that ever happening, it rips like a gummy bear or jello... so it stays in its form always.
Under muscle, longer recovery and depending on the look they want, also how much of their own breast tissue they have. A good surgeon will be able to explain it. Also for those who compete or hard core into training, better to go over muscle, the shape won't get deformed as it can look shifted and indented with certain moves and poses.

My recommendation is to do a lot of research. Go see several surgeons and find someone who understands your woman's needs and one she "clicks" with. Also if she lifts, make sure the surgeon is familiar with people in the lifestyle. Ask to see pics, ask if he did his wives - if not then get up and go see that surgeon after he gives you their name.
cohesive gel is the way to go. More money but they are for good. No worries about them, no real maintenance or needing to replace them after a few years like other types. Saline are cheapest but are starting to fade out as that's old methods and have way more risks associated with them.
Shape - well it all depends the look she is going for. once she picks a size, get the size up from it, usually how it goes as 99% of women wish they went one size up after surgery.
under or over muscle - I think I covered that... recovery faster over muscle than under too.
place of insertion - the surgeon will determine the best route, or at least a good surgeon will and will also explain why. I did mine under boob and my scar is nearly invisible. If the surgeon has a good steady hand, the scaring is minimal.

As a self proclaimed connoisseur of surgical implants,
those look fantastic. I am usually pretty good at guessing implant size but I would have been considerably wrong in my guess for you. I would have guessed between 750-800, quite a bit less than you actually have. My congratulations to your surgeon.
