BPC-157 and Anhedonia

I have read what feels like quite a few anecdotal reports of anhedonia from taking BPC-157. What I've not seen is method of use and/or source. I'm curious, if you personally experienced anhedonia was it oral or injected and was it sourced (not asking for source name) from a ugl, a peptide website, or a pharmacy, and how long did the anhedonia last? While reading up on it I saw a claim that all the people experiencing anhedonia were either oral or ugl sourced but I haven't been able to see anything corroborating that belief (which could just be down to my reading past it or not using the right search keywords.)

I've started a gh, tb-500 repair cycle and was going to add bpc but decided to do more research after finding the anhedonia claims as I've just recently worked off anti-depressants for the first time in over 20 years and I'm a little apprehensive about that specific side effect.

Injected, peptide website
And compounding pharmacy. Takes about a week to get me, hard to say when I start to feel "better". Was on various SSRI in the 90's and then Paxil for 19 years. Been off 5.5 years now. I'm sure that plays a large role

Am hurting bad with random
Wrist injury and now something near elbow that's turning chronic and about to buy some
BPC and tb500 and try to blast it away

SubQ from China, tested fine. After a few days it had me sleeping 9-10h (usual is 7-7.5). I slept through my alarm for the first time in two decades. The strangest experience, I have never been so completely dead to the world. It also made my ADHD meds ineffective.

Wore off after a few days and tried it a few times weeks apart to be sure; same result.

Yes. Lowers dopamine transmission. It's why it causes anhedonia and depression. For some, this can be dangerous.

But mind you, it's far from being that simple as it also reverses dopamine antagonists.

@BubbleslovesKitties Either way, thread carefully. It's one of those drugs in the aas community which is used solely for physiological reasons but it's psychological mechanisms are seldomly neglected. It put me in to serious depression for a week or two when I used it IM. I'm speculating and over generalizing (as is everything I've written thus far in this post), but the reason why people here don't notice it that much is because they use it on cycle, when you're pretty amped up and a somewhat lowered dopamine transmission wont be perceived with so much intensity.

I had read somewhere that it can blunt the effects of caffeine and after a 6 week course of BPC I can confirm. I know that in itself caused me to start dragging ass and becoming humdrum about 4 weeks in. My 2 cups of coffee in the am did little and 2 scoops of Gorilla Mode before the gym was barely noticeable.

The BPC did however bring healing to my neck and knee and I believe the fog lifted about 2 weeks after the last dose.

I have only used injectable and done site IM and subQ. Both make a buzz from just about anything impossible to achieve while on and creates a mild depression because I can’t find pleasure in simple things on bpc157.

However, it always goes away within a week of quitting.

With sub-Q administration from a ugl, I never noticed this. I used BPC solo for 7 weeks.

It does sound like this side effect could be a concern though. If you’re on TB and GH already, you may very well not need the addition of BPC anyway. I had great results with TB on its own; personally I noticed much better results from it than from BPC.

Thank you everyone! It does sound like something I personally should avoid experimenting with based solely on that potential side effect and my personal history of chronic depression. I will carry on with the gh and tb-500 and see where I stand after 6 full weeks and decide where to go from there :)

What? Ive taken 15-20mgs per week for years from many sources and no ill effects
this is likely down to the individual but I've had a tendency to experience the negative physiological mood side effects on medications I've taken over the years, thus my apprehension. As I'm trying to heal the persistent pain from an old football injury to my c6, c5, and c4 cervical spine that has lead to imbalances and limited mobility in my upper thoracic musculature I *may* deem it necessary to experiment with BPC depending on how tb-500 and gh work for me. for now I'm content to see how this goes.

Probably smart to be safe in your case. It concerned me when I realized what the cause was. This was just before I read anything about it online too. Gets me pretty down too but not intolerable for short periods.

I still keep it in the tool chest because I’ve never found any peptide more effective (maybe besides glp-1s) than bpc-157. It’s truly amazing at healing. I’m a snuff dipper for decades and it restores my gums to pre 15 years ago in just 8-9 days. Plus heals injuries associated with training and aging.

But I do try and avoid using it unless absolutely necessary for that very reason you mentioned. It’s very real in some people.
