I can't completely agree with this because of the word
"negligible". If that were the case you would see diabetics just slapping a steak on a cake and going to town.

At best adding 30 grams of protein + 5 grams of fat lowers the blood glucose peak by 12.5% in a non diabetic human (from 8 to 7). Definitely does not completely negate blood glucose spikes from carbs. If anything it's effects seem to slow the decrease of blood glucose levels.
