JB even in ur slack off time/surgery recover time, your arms are still beast mode. now they beast mode and cut up. keep it up homie! inspiration to all of us that require 19'' arms.. for me i will not be a beast until i reach that mark.

Two observations Brutus. First on the bench- I don't think the problem at 315 has anything to do with working chest twice per week. 3 sets of 5 at 325 when your max is around 375 is a max effort which should leave you spent. My max is a little over 375 now and I'm about 90% certain I can't get 3 sets of 5 at 325.

On the deadlift, in general I like the way you ramp up quickly for max attempts but a very good powerlifter told me years ago never to increase the weight jumps as you work up.

I have followed his advice ever since and haven't had near as many misses. On your max attempt you went up 110 pounds from the previous set and in all of the other sets you were going up 90 pounds. Next time try 135, 235, 335, 425, 515. Or you could tell me to screw off and stop trying to give you advice! Your choice.:)

BACK DAY!!

Scheduling issues had me doing this one on my own.. Fast pace, FST-7

Bent barbell rows, 155lbs
4 sets of 12

Wide grip lat pull downs
4 sets of 12

Lat swing downs
4 sets of 12

Close grip cable rows
7 sets of 12, 30 seconds rest

12 min on treadmill, 12 min on bike, 12 min on elliptical.. Had to switch cardio up a bit to TRY and make it less boring..
 
I do a mornimg shake with 3 cups kale, 4 cups milk, cup peanut butter, 1 1/2 cups oatmeal, two bananas and 40 grams whey that is just shy of 3k calories. This is the first time I am really making meals a priority as far as meal timing, prepping and eating clean.

Thanks Brutus. I modified your shake a bit but I stole the skeleton recepie from you. My biggest problem is getting the amount of calories needed when trying to gain weight. I'm a bit over 6' and usually hover around 210. The shake is definately contributing to my weight gain along with a concerted effort to bring food with me and eat at work (sucks after not having to work for over a year). Anyway I'm up to about 218 after the last four or so weeks.

Don't do the kale, shit is nasty. 2.5 bananna's 1.5 oatmeal, 2 scoops of whey, cup of pb, 2 eggs, 3 cups milk, 1 cup frozen blueberries or strawberries. Lot of sugar but ii don't give a shit.

Never mind, I caught up on my reading, although the thought of seeing Meso written in blood is pretty bad-ass, please don't perform any "wet-work" on your self, go to the blood mobile and get free movie tickets:). When I was running EQ months ago I donated platelets and they gave me 3 tickets:), but i never go to the movies:(, but they were free:) and I also now have no idea what i did with them:(. But If I find them i can bring like 6 people:) and the serve beer at the movies in FL:) but I'm not allowed to drink:(

What happened with the at-home phlebotomy you planned on doing? I didn't see any mention of the results. No success, I assume.

Haven't really talked about it again.. My BP was 118/76 yesterday and I feel ok now so I don't know.. I think brutus is feeling better too but if need be I'll be there to make sure he doesn't bleed out.. :)

@ATodd , they wouldn't let me donate a few weeks ago which is why we were considering it.

I see, gotta do what you gotta do. I wonder if enemas would have a positive effect on BP? You ever go through with that? I am still strangely curious about that "hole" scene. Seriously though, I am. I still think there are benefits to be had, but don't particularly feel like being the pioneer. If I do though, i will graphically report back. Just for sheer comedic value, I think you should buy Brutus a couple of sessions.
