BUILDING A BEAST

Wait... did you say "Pull ups 4x8"
Because we all know you can crank out 20 reps for 10 sets....
Other than that I am enjoying following along. :D
Ya I do it as a circuit with the kettle bell swings one set kettle bells then immediately to pull ups then 30 second test and repeat. It's more focused on an explosive pull and slow eccentric so that's why I'm doing lower weights. The programming actually calls for 4x4 with weighted belt but I didn't have my weight belt handy to dangle dem 45s

Oh this heat is stupid it's 95 degrees and muggy and killing me I prefer for my tempatures to be in the negative or only slightly above freezing.

Clean&jerk 195 5x2 lots two of them one set 3 the other first rep set 5 just due to sweating through my shirt and it being slippy.
Front squats 245 6x3 @8.5RPE think that officially makes @insaiyan93 stronger then me on fronts  I shall bow down
Jerks 165 4x2 feeling sloppy on my jerks so gonna work them more.
Row 500m/16 kettle bell swings/ 6 pull ups 4 rounds 30 second breaks between each no stopping

Well although it's just cuz you're cutting i will enjoy it while it lasts haha

Weight this morning was 178lb ate half a tub of French vanilla icecream last night binge watching game of thrones so I was surprised I weighed in so light.

My weight decrease is taking a significant toll on strength too.

Deadlift 385 4x3 suppose to be 7.5RPE was a 9RPE by last set so I'm kinda tweaking but going to see this weight drop through until at least 170lb to get down to 10-11%bf
Bench press 205 4x6 using my 4" 2pood belt for benching now and it feels so good I don't even know why but it helps
Chest accessory 4x12
SS
Back accessory 4x8
X2

Long stretch cause I'm feeling inflexible lately too

Played 18 holes today but unfortunately I also hit the 19th hole a bit. Also went rock climbing today too so now gonna slam in some sushi and call er a night

95 degrees? That must be damn near boiling in Canada.

The grind today:
Bodyweight 178lb morning 182 training

Snatchs 135 6x2
Highbar beltless squat 275 6x3
Comp bench 225 4x3 7RPE
Front squat 205 4x4
OHP 115 4x6

Farmers walks 275lb 40m 10 times
SS
500m row 5 sets all sub 2mins

My bench feels so much better this week I should have gone for more to hit my 8.5RPE but I was digging the speed. My OHP sucks balls though gotta work on my shoulders I think out of every movement coming off of the juice this past year my OHP is the one that suffered the most. Besides that my snatches and squats are feeling great my mobility is insanely good now I'm glad I've taken all the extra time doing my ROMWODs daily and using a pulse massager and tempering because my hole position is a dream for me now my back is perfectly vertical for the highbar squat and my snatch start position looks like I actually oly lift now.

Cool I can edit for longer then 15mins now. Anyways forgot to mention @franchise24 saw some bullshit in another thread about ya, just wanted you to know more then happy to always have you hangout in my log and bullshit and if other members don't like that they can get out of my log

And second this, @franchise24 is a bro fo sho! Who wants to fight about it??

I'm having one of those days, the kinda day that you feel like absolute shit but then you touch the weights and they only feel like gravity is working at 2/3 strength. Everything I did today wasn't even ratable with RPE even though it's suppose to be 7 for deads and 8.5 for bench I kept my weights I was originally going to use then just beat the shit outa my arms cause they are small and that way I wouldn't overwork my body.

Deadlift 335 10x2 probably had 5 more sets in me before it would have started to slow and become a 7.5RPE
Close grip pin press 185 4x10
Arms 10x10 for bis & tris
Abs

We got a hack squat now I tried it out and will be reprogramming to have it into building a beast I like it a lot and I don't think it will hamper recovery at all.

Absolutely amazing day I feel like I did before my last comp everything just moved so easy if this keeps up I'm going to be one happy man especially weighing in at 177.8lb this morning and training at 181lb.

Great job, always nice to have a day like that where everything moves like butta!

Circuit with my girl today:
Sprint the soccer field
Plank till failure
Side planks till failure
10 burpees
Prowler walk till half field
Lunges other half of the field
Repeat 5 times then 2km jog

After that I was spent so I decided to do a 4 hour mountain bike ride cause I'm a sadist to myself apparently. I've got my cardio in for the week though

110 flights of stairs wearing a 70lb vest for the 343

Had extra time after so I blasted arms as I'm pushing my Monday workout back to tomorrow anyways.

my girl and myself have started a new Sunday tradition.
There is a park near us that has 155 steps they built last year that lead up to an overlook over the river. I forgot how awesome stairs are for cardio. The last few weeks we have been doing Go up a flight, back down, go up to the second flight, back down, go up to the third flight, back down etc etc. along with some box jump, split squat, pushup and dip circuit. makes a nice sunday activity day.

i couldn't imagine doing it with a 70lb vest. beastly

Suicides with bleacher stair runs combined...I'm really thankful that my high school basketball coach never had this idea lol

as bad as suicides are, id take them over long distance running anyday of the week. hated when i had to run long distance.

Yeah that's true enough.

I just remember doing timed suicides and somebody wouldn't make it so the whole team would havento do it again untill everyone made time, but the sick part was that if somebody didn't make it the first time odds are they weren't going to make it the next time because they were just more tired. It became an endless cycle of suicides, disgusting. Lmao
